The heart is organ found every
vertebrate on the right side of the body it is a very strong muscle that is about the size of a fist. It pums blood throughout the body. It has regular contractions, or when the heart squeezes the blood out into other parts of the body PART OF HEART FUNCTION PART OF HEART
Atria to Ventricle valves
1. TRICUSPID VALVE -- Blood goes from right atrium to right ventricle 2. MITRAL VALVE – Blood Goes from left atrium to left ventricle Ventricles to arteries 3. PULMONIC VALVE -- Blood goes out of the right ventricle to the lungs (through the pulmonic artery) 4. AORTIC VALVE – Blood Goes out of the left ventricle to the body (through the aorta) FUNCTION PART OF HEART 5. SUPERIOR VENA CAVA -- bring dirty blood from the upper body to the Right Atrium
6. RIGHT ATRIUM – Receiveing blood from
the whole body a lot of deoxygenated (CO2), and then taken to the Right Ventricle
7. RIGHT VENTRICLE – Receiveing blood
from the Right Atrium, and bring it to the lungs (Pulmonary Artery)
8. INFERIOR VENA CAVA -- bring dirty blood
from the lower body to the Right Atrium
9. AORTA – carrying blood contains oxygen
from the Left Ventricle the whole body FUNCTION PART OF HEART 10. PULMONARY ARTERY – carrying blood contains oxygen from the Left Ventricle the whole body
11. PULMONARY VEIN – carrying blood
contains oxygen from the Left Ventricle the whole body
12. LEFT ATRIUM – Receive blood from the
Lungs oxygenated and carried to the Left Ventricle
13. LEFT VENTRICLE – Receive blood from
the Left Atrium and carried it to the whole body. HOW DOES HEART WORK ?
