MEANING OF BUSINESS ENVIRONMENT
 The definition of Business Environment, “The sum

total of all individuals, institutions and other

forces that are outside the control of a business

enterprise but the business still depends upon

them as they affect the overall performance and

sustainability of the business.”

income, money supply, price level, monetary and fiscal

policies, population, business cycles, economic policies,

infrastructural facilities, financial facilities etc. constitute

the economic environment.

retired Indian banker and former Chairman of

listed on Fortune's world's greatest leaders list
ranked at 26.
CHANDA KOCHHAR

Chanda Kochhar (born 17 November 1961) is the managing director and chief executive

officer of ICICI Bank. She is widely recognised for her role in shaping retail banking in

India. Amidst the recent investigation related to Videocon bad loans, she has been forced

by the board of ICICI Bank to take indefinite leave. Sandeep Bakhshi, a veteran banker is

now incharge of ICICI Bank.
