IMPROVING “HIPPY” BY

Project Background
 HIPPY stands for ; Home Instruction for Parents of
Preschool Youngsters Program
 1968 it was first created , 1984 began in the United
States, and then two years later, in 1986, Arkansas
joined
 It is a 30 week program that involves parents for the
readiness of their three, four and five year olds to step
into the school environment without struggle
 Arkansas serves 4,600 families through the HIPPY
program
 Home based program
Project Purpose

 To improve advertisement for all HIPPY programs,


especially the ones that are near to smaller towns

 Advise why advertising is important to a programs


growth

 Resolve a solution for where the program can begin


the advertising process.
Problem Identified
 If advertisement isn't used, families will not have
the opportunity to help educate their preschool
aged kids before going to school

 Program does not grow well

 Employees could result to losing their job because


there aren't enough families

Proposed Solution
 Two main areas that were focused on from the results
is Facebook and Billboards and word from friend

 Start out by making a social media account on


Facebook ---- Advertising account
- by allowing updates on the program, families that are
through it, and advertising families to join daily.

 Renting out a billboard starting out for 12 weeks and


continue from there

 Continue talking to others about the program to help


word spread
Solution Cost
 Creating a social media account (Facebook) won’t cost
anything at all

 Every 4 weeks a large billboard will cost $1,400. The


program will start by 12 weeks’ worth of renting out a
billboard. After the 12 weeks are done, the program
will see if it has helped growth in any form or not. The
program will start again from there if needed.

 12 weeks cost $4,200
