BRUSHLESS SHAVING CREAM

Brushless or non-lathering shaving creams are o/w emulsions. They contain

similar components to those in vanishing creams.
The cream should vanish after completion of shave, leaving the face free from
irritation and with a matt appearance.
The popularity of brushless shaving cream is said to be due to their convenience,
that they eliminate the need for a brush and give a faster shave.
The thick film of lubricant on the face provides emolliency and protection to skin
by reducing razor drag during shaving.
The pH of brushless shaving creams are 7.5-8.5

DISADVANTAGES:
More product is required.
Cream is difficult to rinse from razor.
Makes the skin greasy.
Beard softening power is less.

AEROSOL SHAVING FOAM

•Aerosol shaving foams are o/w emulsions in which propellant droplets, liquefied
under pressure, form a substantial part of oil phase.
• when emulsion is discharged to the atmosphere, the dispersed propellant
droplets vaporize, producing a foam consisting of propellant vapour bubbles
surrounded by an aqueous surfactant phase.
