 CNC Machine Lathe
Computer numerical control (CNC) has been incorporated into a variety of new technologies
and machinery. One such machine of this sort that is used for a wide array of production
processes is known as a CNC lathe. Due to technological advancements, CNC lathes are
quickly replacing some of the older and more traditionally used production lathes, such as the
multi spindle. CNC lathes come with a number of benefits.
 VERTICAL TRANSVERS LATHE
The turret lathe is a form of metalworking lathe that is used for
repetitive production of duplicate parts, which by the nature of
their cutting process are usually interchangeable. It evolved from
earlier lathes with the addition of the turret, which is an index able
tool holder that allows multiple cutting operations to be performed.
 CNC MILLING
The Computer Numerical Controlled (CNC) mill a mill which is controlled by a
computer. Anything which could be made using a mill can be made more
precisely and quickly with a CNC mill. A mill is a subtractive manufacturing
processes where the raw material is affixed to the table and a drill is placed into a
spindle which rotates the drill.
 CNC BORING
A CNC Boring machine or CNC Boring mill is a machine tool which bores holes in a
horizontal direction. There are three main types table, planer and floor. The table type is
the most common and, as it is the most versatile, it is also known as the universal type.
A CNC Boring machine has its work spindle parallel to
the ground and work table. Typically there are three
linear axes in which the tool head and part move.
Convention dictates that the main axis that drives the
part towards the work spindle is the Z axis, with a cross-
traversing X axis and a vertically traversing Y axis.
 Universal Drilling Machine
Generally micro drilling is used to fabricate micro holes in micro products. Main
emphasis is drilling speed (R.P.M) and the feed rate of the spindle. In this study,
the cutting speed and feed rate will be taken as process parameters. We tried to
increase the accuracy by giving feed to drill spindle through lead screw instead of
direct feed. Here are some aspects which are considered in the design of universal
micro radial drilling machine.
 HYDRAULIC PRESSES
Hydraulic presses are a powerful class of machine tools, they
derive the energy they deliver through hydraulic pressure.
 MECHANICAL PRESSES
Mechanical presses belong to a class of machine tools that encompass a
wide range of different machine types. Primarily, the mechanical press
transforms the rotational force of a motor into a translational force
vector that performs the pressing action.
 BOILER
The boiler is a rectangular furnace about 50 ft (15 m) on a side and 130
ft (40 m) tall. Its walls are made of a web of high pressure steel tubes
about 2.3 inches (60 mm) in diameter. Pulverized coal is air-blown into
the furnace from fuel nozzles at the four corners and it rapidly burns,
forming a large fireball at the Centre.
