 Introduction
As it’s known, energy is
necessary in all areas even our
body needs energy to perform
actions.
In general, energy is extracted
from oil.
World Energy consumption
 Problematic
Petrol reserves is decreasing
more and more.
In fact, Kuwait's Oil Field,
the world's second largest
oil field, will be depleted
within 40 years.
Cantrell, the largest oil field in
the Western Hemisphere,
were producing 2 million
barrels of oil per day in 2004-
2005, however, in 2009, the
number of barrels decreased
to 700 000.
 At the current rate of
consumption, we still have
oil for the next 40-100
years and gas for 80-160
years.
 Conclusion
We can’t rely on petrol as
energy. For that, we must
find replacements and
especially solutions to
reduce consumption of
energy.
 Solution

Energy conservation is the key. It

will prolong the fossil energy
that now exists until the
development of other ways.
Develop projects of renewable
energies and install more
units of production.
In this kind of energies the force
of wind, water and sun is used
to produce electric energy.
But the question is:
- How much this instructions are
benefic ?
- Are they efficent enough to
solve the problem ?
To answer to this questions, let’s
see the Tunisian experience as
example .
The idea is developed in two steps:
First step: 2005-2008
Second step: 2008-2011
The first step had yielded encouriging
resultus:
It allowed the reduction in demand,8%
less than 2007, nearly 700 000 tons
of oil equivalent.
In view of this resultus, the state
decide to launch the second step of
the idea.
The second step aims to reduce
consumption by 20%(2 million
tons of oil equivalent) by 2011.
For that, some decisions had
been made:
Economy of energy in energy
intensive businesses.
 Economy of energy in the
building sector.
 Economy of energy in the
transport sector.
Alternative Energy.
Promotion of renewable
energies.
The financing, organization,
leadership and awareness.
 Conclusion
May be previous generations
lived in the earth and passed
safety, may be we will live on it
also, but, if we don’t take care of
life on this planet, i’m not sure
that the next generations will
live in peace on it.
I think it’s time to take
responsability and begin really
saving life on earth by
protecting the enviorement, well
exploiting its ressources,
learning how to live together in
peace….
