In 1997, with the enactment of R.A. 7796 otherwise known as the TESDA Law of
1994, the governance of the school was turned over from DepEd to TESDA;

In November 26, 2001. , with the Rationalization of TESDA –supervised schools,


the Secondary Department of MSF-TESDA was turned over to DepEd, Division of Masbate.

In May 18, 2016, with RA 10824, an act renaming the MSF-TESDA as Masbate
Institute of Fisheries and Technology was approved.

Masbate Institute of Fisheries and Technology


(MIFT) shall develop and sustain the pursuit of
Life-Oriented Vocational Education through
Intensive Training (LOVE IT).
VISION
Masbate Institute of Fisheries and Technology
(MIFT) envisions itself to be the Center of
Technological Excellence in agriculture and
fisheries, allied agri-fishery programs,
construction, tourism, automotive and other
industrial technology related courses producing
globally competitive manpower for gainful
employment and entrepreneurship

training/experience along the field of Technical -
Vocational Education and Training
• Certified at the same or higher NC Level in the
qualification that will be handled (for technical
trainers)
• Able to communicate orally and in writing
• Proficient in quantitative and qualitative analysis
• Proficient in verbal reasoning.
• Computer Literate
• Physically fit and mentally healthy

TRAINERS METHODOLOGY Level 1:
TRAINER/ASSESSOR (264 hrs)
• This course is designed to enhance the
knowledge, skills, positive attitude and work
values of the learner in accordance with the
prevailing standards in the Technical Vocational
Education and Training (TVET) sector.

• This encompasses competencies required of a


Technical-Vocational Trainer to perform the tasks
in the areas of instruction delivery/facilitation,
competency assessment and maintenance of
training resources/facilities.

TM Training Duration: July 31-Sept 13, 2017
33 days inclusive of National Assessment of 5 days
• Plan Training Session = 5-8 days
• Facilitate Learning Session = 3-5 days
• Utilize Electronic media
in facilitating training = 2-3 days
• Supervise work based learning = 1-2 days
• Maintain Training Facilities = 1-2 days

• Conduct Competency Assessment = 3-5 days


• 3 days for printing of outputs
• 5 days National Assessment
Training Arrangement
PROGRAM FACILITATORS

• The MIFT Trainers shall serve as the Program Facilitators

REGISTRATION/ATTENDANCE

• Each participant should have his own laptop


• For regular trainees, ½ of the training fee should be paid
before the start of this program and full payment should be
made before the scheduled National Assessment.
– Trainees who will not finish the program is not allowed to refund the
paid training fee.
– To finish the program, a trainee undergo the process of enrollment as
per rules and regulation of the institution
Training Arrangement
• For trainees under TWSP who will not finish the
program will pay the scholarship amount as
stipulated in the affidavit of undertaking.
– To finish the program, a trainee undergo the process of
enrollment as per rules and regulation of the institution
• Training duration is 33 days inclusive of assessment.
• National Assessment is a requirement for graduation.
• All participants are required to register DAILY for the
program.
HOUSE RULES
• Checking of attendance shall be done in the morning and
in the afternoon. (8:00-12:00 and 1:00-5:00)
• 15 minutes break in the morning and in the afternoon
will be observed for snacks and coffee break (10:00am
and 2:30pm)
• Strict submission of output should be followed as
required and scheduled by the trainers.
• School dormitory and boarding house stay is advised to
avoid tardiness in this program
• Meals may be subject for reservation at MSF canteen but
there are private canteen operating around the campus.
HOUSE RULES
• We request the participants to refrain from
leaving the session rooms while the sessions
are in progress.
• Please keep your mobile phones in silent
mode.
– Telephone calls/visitors must be entertained
during break time.
