Non-Verbal Communication
Definition:
Non-Verbal Communication is the
nonlinguistic transmission of information
through visual, tactile and Kinesthetic
(physical) Channels.
Types of Non-Verbal Communication
a) Kinesics Behavior
i. Eye Behavior.
ii. Touching.
iii. Facial Expression etc.
b) Paralanguage
i. Voice Quality.
ii. Volume.
iii. Speech Rate etc.
c) Environment
i. Building Design.
ii. Furniture.
iii. Light etc.
 Kinesics Behavior
a) Eye Behavior: Eye Behavior show rudeness, unfriendliness, deceptiveness
etc.
b) Touching: The way of communication in which peoples, animals
communicate and interact via sense of touch.
c) Facial Expression: Facial expression show the mode of a person, animals
etc. e.g.: Anger, Sad, Happy, Dislike.
d) Gesture: A Gesture is a form of communication in which visible bodily action
communicate particular massage.

 Paralanguage
a) Voice Quality: Quality of voice show maturity, age, and
seriousness of a person. Fluent voice attract others.
b) Volume: Volume of a speech show the confidence of a person.
The must be moderately loud and rapid.
c) Speech Rate: Speech Rate show preparation for the speech or
work, confidence etc.
d) Laughing: To much laughing and laughing loud leaves a bad
impression. Laughing must simple and impessive.
