involving muscular
inflammation as well as

MUSCULAR
DYSTROPHY
- Group of hereditary
muscular disorders
marked by muscular
weakness,
autoimmune disease
affecting
neuromuscular
junction
STRAIN
- Trauma to a
muscle
because of
over use or
excessive
stretch; if
severe may
involve
muscular

separation of
a muscle from
SPRAIN tendons, or
- Injury to ligament caused by abnormal or tendon from
excessive force at a joint but without bone bone
dislocation or fracture

part

muscle

- Involuntary small
contractions or twitching
of muscle fiber groups

FIBROMYOSITIS
- Nonspecific term for pain, tenderness, and
stiffness in muscles and joints

FIBROSITIS
- Inflammation of fibrous connective
tissue, especially in muscle fasciae;
marked by pain and stiffness
RESTLESS LEGS SYNDROME
- uneasiness, twitching, or restlessness
in the legs that occurs after going to

be caused by poor circulation or drug
side effects

- General term for
inflammation,
soreness, stiffness
of muscles
associated with
joint pain
