INTRODUCTION
 Training is defined as a learning and task oriented activity.
 The process of teaching the basic skills to new employees
to perform their jobs is called as training.
 The aim of providing Training is to develop attitudes,
skills and knowledge for effective performance of the
work.
 Career planning is a systematic and integrated approach to
the career development.

 Career planning is a ongoing process where we explore our
interest and abilities, strategically plan our career goals and
create future work success by designing learning and
action plans to help in achieving our goals.

 Training should be both in terms of organizational demand


and that of individual.

 Training is related with career as it create the way for


better development of individual so he or she can have a
good opportunities in the future career options.

 To create learning organizations which ensure that


employees go through value addition so they can
effectively perform their jobs.
 To ensure that employees and candidates gains
competitive advantage and seek self growth.
 To improve the productivity of the workers and the
organization.
 To utilize human resources optimally.

 To attract and retain effective persons in an organization.

 Training focuses on doing activities today to develop
employees for their current jobs.
 Training need analysis is a systematic approach for
determining what training needs to takes place.

 Various methods of identifying Training needs are


1. Organizational analysis
2. Individual analysis
3. Job analysis

CAREER PLANNING
 Career planning is the process of setting individual
objectives and creatively developing activities that will
achieve them.
 Career planning is the employee’s counterpart to the
organisation’s overall human resource criteria.

 It consist of three criteria-


 Broad life planning
 Development planning
 Performance planning

 A country can make steady growth when HR is trained and
developed.

 The main purpose of Training and development is to


develop the HR within the organization.

 Expenditure on Training and development is the


investment for manpower development and gives rich
dividend to the employees.

 In India, various Skill development programs have been


run by the government like Pradhanmantri Kaushal Vikas

Yojna (PMKVY), etc..

 Training and career planning is very essential in
individual’s growth.
 The employment status can be enhanced by training and
career planning.
 The countries growth is dependent on the employees and
employers growth so the necessary training and
development programs need to be run.
