 Always keep a way out
 Avoid reversing
 Plan your trip, vehicle condition,
weather condition
 Be courteous on the Road

 Always have a clear vision ahead

proportionate to your Speed
 When you drive at 120km/hr, you should have
a clear ahead vision for at least 750m
(0.75km)
 Have a sweeping motion for your eyes
 If you can’t get a clear picture ahead,
slow down

 Keep the Correct Following
Distance

 Don’t tail gate

 Follow the two Second Rule
 If you can’t follow correct following distance,
reduce Speed
 For Heavy equipments, follow 5 seconds rule

 Always have a Safe Cushion around you

 Leave a way to escape
 Adjust your Speed and choose your lane to
accomplish this

 Minimize reversing as much as possible

 Practice reverse Parking
 Choose such Parking lots to avoid reversing
 Always seek the help of someone, if needed
 Check for the blind corners

 Don’t drive if you are tired or
sleepy
 Know the route before start
 Take sufficient break for long
trips
 Don’t keep or use something
with you which will distract your
attention
 Do not use mobiles, walkie -
talkies, etc. while driving
 Don’t drive under the influence of
alcohol or drugs

 Maintain Your Vehicle in Good
Condition

 Check condition of vehicle before trip

 Check tires, brake, oil level, cooling water, etc.
 Periodical maintenance/ servicing to be done
promptly

 Night driving
 Driving in poor road conditions
 Rain and slippery roads
 Extreme summer conditions
 Foggy and dusty conditions

 Respect other drivers

 Don’t be arrogant or competing on road
 Be caring to kids, bicyclers and pedestrians
 Always be a defensive driver
