-This slideshow explains the function of memory and

storage in our devices, and gadgets.

IN COMPUTING WE HAVE 2 TYPES OF MEMORY

-Primary Storage Devices or Known as (RAM) Random Access Memory

-Secondary Storage Devices or Known as (ROM) Read Only Memory

•RAM is what we called (Volatile) types of memory. It temporary holds

computer data when the computer process a task or specific actions.

•ROM is what we called (Non Volatile) types of memory. It retains the

computer data even when the computer if off.
BUT WHAT IT MEANS HOLDING THE DATA TEMPORARILY?

application and program and to
improve performance.
WHY DO WE NEED RAM and ROM IN OUR COMPUTER?
Because computer now a days have a vast amount
of applications and software's. In order to
manipulate this apps & OS we need a hardware to
control the activities of our Software inside of our
computer. And a capacity to store the amount of
data its used to improve the system performance.
APPLICATIONS
Not only computers have a memory. Handheld PC,
PDA, Cell Phone, tablet, net books and note books.
Computer Memory has a very important role. In our
computer system it helps the stability to run more
applications on the same time. What we called MULTI
TASKING.

Once we open multiple application and we have small

capacity of RAM in our unit, the units slows and
sometimes it takes time to load. And the worst hang-
up or freeze.
