can human Human Resource managers play an important role in aiding whistle-blowers. They

the laws protecting whistle- blowers. And more, they can protect them from
24 possible retaliation and harassment from other employees.
Should whistle-blowers be
compensated for “telling” on
their bosses and firms?
They should, since by taking such act they are
their job and safety will be at risk. More, if
employees know they may be financially
rewarded for their actions, they may be more
willing to speak out when wrongdoing occurs
within their organization.

Is there a better term
for whistle-blower?
The term of whistle-blowers often conjure up a
negative image. We found it in the internet that
whistle-blowers have some meaning such as
squealer, canary, stool pigeon and so on that
have same meaning as betrayer. Perhaps by
developing a more positive euphemism whistle-
blowers will be seem more positively if we call it
“pioneers for truth”.

Should all whistle-blowers be treated as heroes?
they should since not every people have the courage or determination to reveal any
wrong doing that could put themselves in danger. More that the actions taken by
whistle-blowers will undoubtedly change the ways in which companies operate.
