 GENERALIDADES
Una vez que se dispone de agua potable en el tanque de
regularización, debe ponerse a disposición de los
habitantes, distribuyéndola por toda la población, por
medio de la red de distribución.

El sistema de distribución consiste en una red de tuberías

subterráneas que tiene por objeto entregar el agua hasta
la entrada de los predios de los usuarios. Este sistema se
forma con dos partes principales:
1. Instalaciones del servicio público:
De acuerdo con la magnitud de sus diámetros, las tuberías se clasif
ican en: líneas de alimentación, redes primarias, redes secundarias
o de relleno y tomas domiciliarias.
2. Instalaciones particulares:
Instalación hidráulica de toda la edificación, que a partir del límite
de propiedad, es responsabilidad de los usuarios, pero deben cu
mplir con el Reglamento de Instalaciones Hidráulicas, Sanitarias y
Pluviales en vigor.
La red de distribución debe satisfacer
los siguientes requisitos:

agua circula por la red en un único
sentido, a través de una tubería

Como principales ventajas podemos destacar:
