The patient is a 60-year-old woman admitted to the hospital with inadequate oral intake due to abdominal pain and a growing abdominal lump. Laboratory tests show anemia, leukocytosis, thrombocytosis, and hypoalbuminemia. A mass was found on the pancreatic tail. The nutrition assessment found moderate protein-energy malnutrition. The nutrition care plan includes oral and parenteral supplementation to provide 1,600 kcal per day with 68.85 g of protein to correct hypoalbuminemia. Monitoring of intake, vital signs, and gastrointestinal tolerance is also planned.
