Executive Summary :

-This report serves to show Vodacom network radio signal condition in office buildings and the whole outdoor area of Tanga Cement
factory before and after physical parameter adjustment done on the only factory area serving sector which is sector one of
pongwe_2088 site during a visit payed to this factory on October 19 to October 21.
-As communicated earlier ,there was a poor 3G network Radio signal strength(Coverage) inside the buildings compared to the 2G
network radio signal strength(coverage ) but after physical parameter adjustment done on sector one of pongwe_2088 site ,now the
3G Network radio signal strength(coverage ) has been improved through adjusting the mechanical tilt from 2 to 0 and the Electrical tilt
from 3 to 0 . With the current obtained 3G network radio signal strength (coverage ) anyone camped on 3G in the office buildings
and major area of the factory except the quarry area, can access any Internet related services (e.g browsing, streaming , etc) without
any difficulties or feeling poor experience while making voice calls and receiving calls without any problem .
-Also 2G electrical tilt on sector one of pongwe site was adjusted from 3 to 1 so as to enhance network radio signal strength
(coverage) to their cement QUARRY area , located some how far from office buildings .Before, this cement quarry area was having
neither 2G nor 3G Vodacom network radio signal at all so it was even impossible communicating while inside this area , but after the
changes done ,the 2G network radio signal is now available inside this area(Quarry Pit) , at least voice calls can be done successfully
now while in this area. Actually the area it is a wide deep valley(pit) and based on the current Vodacom site distribution it is
impossible the area to be served with 3G Vodacom network radio signal .
- Through interrogating a number of staff it was later realized that the not reachable problem claimed was being experienced while
the called part is either not in the vicinity of factory area(is in random place in Tanga Town) or is in quarry area in which there are was
no Vodacom coverage . So because after adjustment done, now the quarry area is covered by 2G radio signal and both 2G and 3G
Vodacom network radio signal condition in the office buildings and the whole outdoor area of Tanga Cement factory is now stable ,
therefore, Radio signal strength( coverage) and when both calling and called part are in the vicinity of this factory is no more likely to
be the cause for not reachable problem that was being claimed except when if the sector one of Pongwe_2088 site is down as is the
only serving sector in the entire area of this factory.

 Conclusion and Recommendations:
-Both 2G and 3G Vodacom network radio signal condition in the office buildings and the whole outdoor area of Tanga Cement factory
is now stable and is no more likely to be the cause for not reachable problem that was being claimed except when if the sector one of
Pongwe_2088 site is down as is the only serving sector in the entire area of this factory. Previously they had a contract with Tigo which
has a site on top of one of the factory building sharing power with the factory, but when factory power is down then Tigo site also goes
down immediately and they can’t communicate until the power is restored by the factory , so due this ,the contract was cancelled
although they were comfortable with Tigo services. Therefore sector one of Pongwe-2088 site should handled with high importance in
any case and its service availability should be maintained to the maximum to ensure them a good quality of experience and preventing
them cancelling the contract on basis of service outage .

-Through interrogating the staff, more complained also about SMS delivery delay(it takes even two days an SMS to get delivered) all
over Tanga and because this is a core network issue, therefore , the core network team should work at it.

-Vodacom Commercial team should visit and communicate the benefit offered to the staff of Tanga cement as it was realized that all
the staff don’t understand even that when calling each other on their Vodacom numbers the call is not charged and all are complaining
why the service menu was changed and is different from normal user of Vodacom , bundles available in their service menu starts with
seven days bundles and the price is high, some are daily calling to customer care center to get this changed, but the response from
customer care is always, "We understand your problem, and it is being worked on”. Although I explained to them that the service
menu was specific for their CUG and somehow they understood but I do believe commercial team have the best explanation and a
chance to make all the staff more comfortable with the service being provided to their Also commercial team/IN team must work to
prevent advert going to CUG numbers of Tanga Cement, they don’t want any promotion advert to their numbers.
