SVS :
Purpose: provide a 3D representation of the terrain in front of the H/C in order to
detect or to recognize landmarks and to help the pilot orienting himself and
anticipating presence of terrain in outside degraded visual conditions.

Recording Functions: Usage Monitoring System (UMS)
The EC145 T2 Usage Monitoring System (UMS) acquires and analysis a list of parameters coming
from engine and vehicle systems in order to support customers in their maintenance programs.

– UMS is standard on EC145 T2 – On-Ground processing with UMCard (step 1) / MGS (step 2)
– Compliant with the specifications of the regulations JAR OPS3 and EASA-OPS CAT.POL.H.305.
– The recorded UMS data are stored by the DTD automatically at the end of the flight or on request
– The recorded UMS data is downloaded via the CF-Card

Recording Functions: Health Monitoring System (HMS)
The overall goal is to provide information pertaining to the condition of the helicopter dynamic
system and engine, to support customers in their maintenance program application.

 System Architecture & Options:

• HMS Detachable Provisions (DMAU, Sensors)
• EVM Detachable Provisions (2 x sensors) – additional sub-system, available in Step 2

to install and de-install the system,

HFDM is a systematic way of acquiring, analyzing and acting upon information from flight data
to improve operations safety.

Garmin GTN 750 functional add-ons
 Checklists Garmin’s GTN 750 is capable to display user defined checklists. Dedicated tool from
Garmin is needed to configure used defined checklists. No certification needed.

 Weather service Weather data are displayed by the Weather function when an optional weather
source (Garmin GSR56) is installed. The Wx Weather pages may be oriented to Track Up, Heading
Up, or North Up. Applicable services: Connext Weather (worldwide via Iridium with certain local
limitations; GSR56).

 Iridium Phone Operation Optional satellite telephone operation is available through the
Iridium satellite system that is interfaced through the Garmin GSR 56. The service includes voice, SMS
text messaging and position reporting (tracking) capabilities.

 Transponder Control The GTN 7XX can perform the control and display for a remotely
mounted transponder (such as one of the GTX family of transponders) functions

 NVG Garmin’s GTN 750 display/bezel backlighting is adapted to NVIS environment usage

 COM 16W When the optional 16W COM power is configured, the GTN COM will transmit with 16
watts rather than the standard 10 watts.

 SBAS Garmin’s GTN 750 is capable to support WAAS/EGNOS/MSAS SBAS and can therefore
provide SBAS navigation means (e.g. LPV).

 ADS-B The Garmin GTN 7xx can be included into ADS-B out architecture. Mandate on the part of
FAA and EASA existing for ADS-B out. Applicable for 2015/2020.

ADS Service Description

The following Databases Services are available:

 Order shall be placed sufficiently in advance before start of the
service (in particular for new H/C delivery to prepare the initial load).

password. If you not do not have yet access to Keycopter please
contact your Airbus Helicopters sales representatives.
 1 and up to 4 maps (“reference maps”) have to be selected within the
selected zone (maps are described in the maps catalog available on
the ADS website).

Databases Services Conditions
(1) Each Service gives Customer the right to use the considered Databases for the selected zone.
The Different zones are Europe, Eurasia, Middle East, East/Central USA, West/Central USA,
Canada/Alaska, Latin & South America, Pacific 1 & 2.
Each Zone is divided into several maps of 500NMx500NM. Only one map can be loaded into the
Helicopter at a time.

(2) Service is on a per helicopter basis (Helicopter serial number). It can be a yearly subscription per
H/C or a single procurement per H/C

(3) Standard mode of Databases delivery is web download.


Customers not having access to internet to download the Databases may chose delivery using physical
media (ex: CDROM or usb key). Only one shipment to the address indicated in the ordering form (*) is
included and delivery lead-time is not guarantee
(*) in case of Customers having several bases, the Customer will organized by itself the dispatch

(4) Prices conditions are indicated in the Conditions of Use (see section 5 of this document).
Prices are subject to change and subject to yearly escalation.
