Implementation: Opening session
• Participants were asked to introduce themselves and convey how long they worked for this
program.
• Then participants are asked to voluntarily stand behind the paper on the floor that reads:
"Not Using Drugs", "Try to use", "Recreational Use", "Controlled Use", and "Problematic
Use".
• Instruction from the trainer is how is your drug use position in the last 3 months? Please
stand behind the papers that show your current situation.
• After the participants chose their position, there was a discussion session and clarification on
why he/she chose to stand in that place. Then the trainer explained that the stantements on
the papers was the phases of drug use. These phases will apply to each individual from the
target group of the outreach program. The concluding message is knowing yourself and
getting to know the target group of the program is important.
Implementation: Opening session
• Next is the participants were given each one sheet of paper that had read: "Aim",
"Objectives", "Increased understanding of the program on Harm Reduction for Meth users",
"Able to describe the global situation and local situations related to the Harm among Meth
users' Reduction program”, " Able to analyze the client's program characteristics ", and " Able
to provide recommendations to meet the client's program needs ".
• They were asked to be discussed and match the shared papers into something that was
interconnected and relevant.
• They were asked to paste on a flipchart which eventually became the explanation of Aim and
Objectitives from this training session.

• The result is as below. With the stages carried out, the
participants became more aware of Aim and Objectives
from this session.
Implementation: Basic knowledge about
global and local situation on HR
• The trainer uses a short video to explain the
global situation about HR. Participants were
asked to review the contents of the video,
based on their own perspectives.
• Based on each understanding, each
participant was asked to tell something most
interesting about the scene in the video.
• The trainer asks for things that occur in the
global scope obtained from the results of the
video discussion, related to the local situation
by each participant based on their respective
field experiences.
Implementation: Individual factors related
to Meth users
• After listening to the field situation of each participant, the
trainer invited the participants to identify some unique
characters from the program beneficiaries, namely ATS users
they had reached.
• The trainer asks participants to remember their target groups
behaviour, related to how they use the ATS and its severity.
• The trainer said that from each way of drug use or the
severity of drug use, each individual has different needs.
Implementation: Characteristics of Meth

about Aim and Objectives.
• All participants agreed that Aim and Objectives from this training session had been reached.
• Then as a closing, the trainer asks participants to evaluate the process of implementing this
training.
Training Evaluation from Participants
• Participants were very interested in the combination of methods used in the training.
• The tools for providing training materials are very helpful to facilitate the understanding of the
training objectives of the participants.
• The use of images and videos is very interesting for participants, so the training sessions
that are carried out are not boring.
• The minimum training time and limited training room need to be improved so that the training
session can run more optimally.
Training Recflection from Trainer
• In preparation for making training materials, trainers have carried out mapping of needs and the level of
understanding about the issues from the trainees. This is very important for trainer to make training
plans.
• After completing the training plan, the trainer considers the training kits that will be used for training.
Trainer is looking for and can get it after arriving in Jakarta. Keep in mind that trainer live in different
city. This makes there is a time allocation for travel so that preparation time becomes less.
• During implementation, trainer must modify the method because they have to adjust to the
characteristics of the participants, the time available and the small space for the training.
• Upon arrival at the training location, there is a change in the room for training. The trainer must make
quick adjustments in preparing the another training room. Buddy's role is very helpful in this process.
• For further training improvements, in addition to making a good training plan, it is necessary to pay
attention to the time of travel to the training location and there is sufficient time for preparation at the
training site. This needs to be considered so that the mood of trainer can be maintained and adaptation
to the training room situation becomes better.
