The Computer Hardware Servicing NC II program provides knowledge and


skills in diagnosing and troubleshooting problems of personal computer systems,
networks, software and its parts.
The program trains the students in fixing computers, replacing defective
parts and having the computer system back to normal operation as well as
maintaining computer systems and networks.

required to do a task based on workplace standards.

Technician, Assistant Computer Technician, Computer Service Technician, Technical

The 4 units of Competency are:

2. Diagnose and Troubleshoot Computer System.
3. Configure Computer System and Network.
4. Maintain Computer System and Network.
1. Install Computer System and Network
* In this unit of competency you will be introduce to the fundamentals of
computer system and networks. You will then gain the skills and knowledge required
in installing computer system and network.
2. Diagnose and Troubleshoot Computer System
* This unit of competency deals with identifying and finding solutions to
different computer problems. You will be exposed to different issues of computer and
network in which you will gain the skills and knowledge on how to fix them.
3. Configure Computer System and Network
*This unit of competency focuses on the configuration of computer system
and network. At the end of this competency you will attain the knowledge of
configuring different computers and networks.
4. Maintain Computer System and Network
* This is the final competency that you must undergo in computer hardware
servicing. Within this unit of competency you will gain the knowledge and skills
necessary for maintaining the computer system and network which is very essential
because you will become knowledgeable in handling your computers.
ASSESSMENT
The 4 units of Competency are:
1. Install Computer System and Network.
2. Diagnose and Troubleshoot Computer System.
3. Configure Computer System and Network.
4. Maintain Computer System and Network.

NATIONAL ASSESSMENT
- wherein TESDA will provide you with certificate that you
are eligible that you have certain expertise that will allow you to
work on industries under ICT sector as computer technician.

The Principles of CBT:
1. Training is based on the curriculum develop from competency standards
2. Learning is competency-based or modular in structure.
3. Training delivery is individualized and self-paced.
4. Training is based on work that needs to be performed.
5. Training Material is directly related to the competency standards and the curriculum.
6. Assessment of learners is based on the collection of evidences of work performance based on
industry or organizational required standards.
7. Training is based on off and on the job components.
8. The system allows for the Recognition of the Prior Learning (RPL).
9. The system allows for learner to enter and exit programs at different time and levels and to
receive an award for competencies attain at any point.
10. Approved training programs are nationally accredited.
