What is PPT ?

 Power Point File format


 A PPT file is an editable slide show created by Microsoft PowerPoint or another
presentation program, such as Open Office Impress or Apple Keynote.
 It may include formatted text, bullet points, images, movies, sound effects, and music.
 PPT files are commonly built from one of many templates included with the PowerPoint
software, but may also be created from scratch.
TITLE BAR

 The title bar is a bar located at the top of a


window or a dialog box that displays the
name of the window or software program
being used.
 As illustrated in the above picture, the title
bar typically has a minimize, maximize,
and close button, usually located on the
right side. Also, in the top-left corner of a
Microsoft Windows program window, there
is typically an icon of the program that can
be clicked to also show these options.
MENU BAR

 The menu bar in Microsoft Windows is usually anchored to the


top of a window under the title bar; therefore, there can be
many menu bars on screen at one time.
 Menus in the menu bar can be accessed through shortcuts
involving the Alt key.
 Additionally, pressing Alt or F10 highlights the shortcut letter of
the menu in the menu bar.

communicate your message or ideas.
 SmartArt graphics can be created in Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word,

INSERT TABLE

 On the Insert tab, select Table.


 In the Insert Table dialog box,
do one of the following:
 Use the mouse to select the
number of rows and columns
that you want.
 Select Insert Table, and then
enter a number in the Number
of columns and Number of
rows lists.

To add rows or columns,


right-click a cell,
click Insert on the mini

HYPERLINK

 Creates a link to quickly access webpages of any other files


 The hyperlink function in PowerPoint allows users to advance from
one slide to another slide in the presentation when they click on a
predetermined word, shape, or image
 Select the text, shape, or picture that you want to use as a hyperlink.
 Select Insert > Hyperlink.
HEADER AND FOOTER

 A header or footer can be added to the PowerPoint slides.


 Information in the header or footer will appear at the top
and bottom of each slide.
 The footer is also sometimes the space reserved for the
notes, known as footnotes. While in some cases the footer
space is generally fixed, when footnotes are added, the
space will increase or decrease based on the amount and
length of the notes.
CHARTS

 A chart is a graphical
representation of data, in
which "the data is represented
by symbols, such as bars in
a bar chart, lines in a line chart,
or slices in a pie chart".
 A chart can represent tabular numeric data, functions or some kinds of qualitative structure
and provides different info.
 Column, Line , Bar , Pie , Area , X Y { Scatter } , Stock , Surface , Radar , Combo
 To create a simple chart from scratch in PowerPoint, click Insert > Chart and pick
the chart you want. On the Insert tab, in the Illustrations group, click Chart. In the
Insert Chart dialog box, click the arrows to scroll through the chart types. Select the type
of chart that you want and then click OK.

SLIDE SHOW

 You can either play


from the beginning
or from the current
slide

 Select Slide Show from the menu bar

 Hit the F5 Key

 Click the projector button on the lower left part of the screen

 GO TO THE NEXT SLIDE: press the SPACE BAR, ENTER, PAGE DOWN, or right arrow key.

 GO TO THE PREVIOUS SLIDE: press BACKSPACE, PAGE UP, or the left arrow key.
