PROBLEM IDENTIFICATION
 By 2025, India’s waste management sector is
expected to be worth US$13.62 billion.
 Annual growth rate of 7.17 percent.
 62 million tons of garbage a year.
 11.9 million tons of collected waste are
treated
 31 million tons disposed off in landfills.
 Mixing of waste in landfills, toxic release,
contamination of ground water.
 Harmful greenhouse gas methane is released.
 Manual segregation- time consuming and not
full segregation is possible.
 Waste segregation done manually hazardous
to human health.
 Overflowing dustbins also a concern.
 Leads to environmental pollution.
 Breeding of germs which can cause harmful
diseases.
PROBLEM ANALYSIS
CAUSES
 People behaviour
 Plastic cannot be eliminated completely
 Mixing of dry and wet waste makes recycling difficult

EFFECTS
 Segregation of dry and wet waste can be used in multiple ways
 Health problems, pollution and land problems can be reduced to a great
extent.
 Proper management and proper disposal
 Reducing emission of greenhouse gases
USE OF MIND MAP
PORTER’S FIVE FORCE ANALYSIS
BILL OF MATERIALS
 Crusher
 IR sensor for detection of garbage.
 Conveyer belt and pulley
 Programmable logic controller L10 PLC
 Proximity sensor E2E-X10D1-M1G(Metallic
Waste)
 Moisture sensor FC-28 (Wet Waste)
 E3S-R sensor to detect plastic
 F&C SN10mm PNP sensor to detect glass
 PS117ED1 sensor for paper detection
 GSM- Global System for Mobile Communication
PESTLE ANALYSIS
Political Economic
 “Swachh Bharat Abhiyan” by govt.  Demand is limited
 Govt. initiatives for waste segregation  Price will be high

Social Technological
 Manual segregation  Use of sensors
 Hazardous to human health  Use of GSM
 Attitude of People  IOT

Legal Environmental
 Anti-trust law in Waste management  Reduce environmental pollution
 Copyrights, patents/ Intellectual  Proper waste disposal
Property Law  Recycling of waste
 Health and safety law
SWOT ANALYSIS OF PRODUCT
Strengths Weakness
 Waste Segregation  High investment
 Convenience  High maintenance required
 Recycling  Expertise required
 Proper disposal

Opportunity
 62 million tons of waste every Threats
year  Similar kind of product by
 Improvements in design competitors
 Implementation of AI  Damage or theft
TARGET MARKET
 Waste management firms
 Government for implementation in
Railway stations
Municipal Corporation
Hospitals/Medical associations
Schools and Universities
 Hotels and restaurants
 Corporates
