today claim
to be his
followers,
almost
2,000 years
Christian believers around the world have been holding
after his
death
services to mark the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. Here,

Countless numbers have been
martyred for their faith in him.
 The book about him, the
BIBLE, is easily the No. 1 best
seller of all time.
 The Uniqueness of Jesus
Having been born and raised
as Christians, we take for
granted our conviction that
Jesus is the Son of God. But
this was not so for his
contemporaries. They found
it hard to accept that he was
not just an ordinary person.
"Where did this man get these
things?" they asked. "What's this
wisdom that has been given him,
that he even does miracles!
3Isn't this the carpenter?
Isn't this Mary's son and the
brother of James, Joseph,[a]
Judas and Simon? Aren't his
sisters here with us?" And
they took offense at him. (Mark
6:3).

Jesus is more than just a great

religious man or moral teacher?
THE IMPACT OF
JESUS ON
HISTORY
 His coming
was
pre-announced
through Old
Testament
prophecies.
Behold, a virgin shall conceive and bear a
Son, and shall call His name Immanuel"
(Isaiah 7:14).
He struck history with such
impact that he split it in
two: BC and AD.
HE CAME INTO THE WORLD
NOT TO LIVE BUT TO DIE.
Jesus was a very
impressive
person.
A very attractive personality.
 A
magnet
-ic
leader.
“come, follow me…..”
A man of extraordinary authority.
 JESUS
CLAIMED
TO BE …
GOD.
 No other great religious leader
claimed to be God.

He claimed
that he
could
forgive sin,
something
only God
can do.
 Matthew 27:54

When the centurion and

those with him who were
guarding Jesus saw the
earthquake and all that had
happened, they were
terrified, and exclaimed,
"Surely he was the Son of
God!"

Many of his contemporaries came to

the realization that he indeed was God.
 God confirmed his
claim by raising him
from the dead.
