Introduction
 Programmable logic controllers are now the most widely used
industrial process control technology. A programmable logic
controller (PLC) is an industrial grade computer that is capable of
being programmed to perform control functions.

 Automation plays an increasingly important part in industries. At


present, the purpose of automation has shifted from growing
productivity and reducing costs to broader issues.

 This project includes two processes; bottle filling and capping.

Problem Statement

 Human are working in all processes such as bottle carrying, bottle


filling, capping and pacaging . They cannot work always.

 They can also have some problems such as health, society, etc . It is
not convenient for employer.

 Production rate also depends on them.

Research Objectives
 To reduce human power in small industries.

 To increase production rate.

 To control machines, electrical and electronic devices automatically


without effort of human.

 To understand programming and electrical installation well.

 To know how automation systems work.

 Study on PLC programming, Ladder Logic Diagram.

 Control automatic bottle filling and capping system using


programmable logic controller method.

Expected Outcomes

 To get the system which has reliability and reasonable price.

 To apply this system in small scale industries which are now using
human power.

Implementation Procedure

Collecting references about Programmable Logic


Controller , Bottle filling and capping process.
Selecting DC motors, sensors, solenoid valve, belt.
Construction of conveyor belt, filling system, cylinder
remover, cap mounting and capping system.
Programming ladder logic diagram.
Testing this program and checking the system whether
it is work or not.
Thesis writing.
