EPHESIANS 5:8-10, 2 CORINTHIANS 6:14-18

For you were once darkness,

but now you are light in the Lord.
Live as children of light (for the
fruit of the light consists in all
goodness, righteousness and truth)
and find out what pleases the Lord.
SCRIPTURE READING
EPHESIANS 5:8-10, 2 CORINTHIANS 6:14-18

Do not be yoked together

with unbelievers. For what do
righteousness and wickedness
have in common?
Or what fellowship can light
have with darkness?
EPHESIANS 5:8-10, 2 CORINTHIANS 6:14-18

What harmony is there

between Christ and Belial?
Or what does a believer
have in common with
an unbeliever?
SCRIPTURE READING
EPHESIANS 5:8-10, 2 CORINTHIANS 6:14-18

What agreement is there

between the temple
of God and idols?
For we are the temple
of the living God.
EPHESIANS 5:8-10, 2 CORINTHIANS 6:14-18

As God has said:

“I will live with them and
walk among them,
and I will be their God, and
they will be my people.”
SCRIPTURE READING
EPHESIANS 5:8-10, 2 CORINTHIANS 6:14-18

Therefore, “Come out

from them and be separate,
says the Lord. Touch no
unclean thing, and I will
receive you.”
EPHESIANS 5:8-10, 2 CORINTHIANS 6:14-18

And, “I will be a Father

to you, and you will be
my sons and daughters,
says the Lord Almighty.”
MEMORY VERSE:
2 CORINTHIANS 6:14

“Do not be unequally yoked

with unbelievers. For what
partnership can righteousness
have with wickedness?
Or what fellowship does light
have with darkness?”
Choosing a lifetime partner
is one of the most important
decisions we’ll make.

A Christian’s priority is
to honor God with
his/her relationships.
HOW CAN GOD
BE GLORIFIED
WITH OUR
RELATIONSHIPS?
DISCOVER HIS
WONDERFUL
PLAN FOR US
Biblical marriage has at least 3 purposes:

*PROCREATION
"Be fruitful and multiply…”
GENESIS 1:28a
Biblical marriage has at least 3 purposes:

*COMPANIONSHIP
“Then the LORD God said, ‘It is not
good for the man to be alone.
I will make a helper who is just right
for him.’” GENESIS 2:18
Biblical marriage has at least 3 purposes:

*GROWTH & MATURITY

“… a man will leave his father
and his mother and
be united to his wife.”
GENESIS 2:24
For couples,
marriage should
be their
ultimate goal.
2 CORINTHIANS 6:14

“Do not be
unequally yoked
with unbelievers…”
There can be no
spiritual harmony in
a marriage between
a Christian and
a non-Christian.
If you and your
spouse can’t
agree about God,
then you won’t
agree about
anything else.
1 KINGS 11:4

“As Solomon grew old, his wives

turned his heart after other gods,
and his heart was not fully
devoted to the LORD his God,
as the heart of David his
father had been.”
Any relationship that
isn’t founded on God
will never glorify God!

PREPARE
OURSELVES FOR
THE FUTURE
A beautiful love
story takes time.

A Christian single is
always productively
waiting on God.
Let God reveal
Himself to you
while you wait.
1 CORINTHIANS 7:32-34

“An unmarried man is concerned

about the Lord’s affairs- how he can
please the Lord. But a married man
is concerned about the affairs of this
world- how he can please his wife-
and his interests are divided.”
Work on becoming
a better person
before looking for
a lifetime partner.
PSALM 8:4

“Do not arouse

or awaken love
until it so desires.”
GOD LETS YOU
WAIT TO GIVE YOU
TIME TO GROW.
