Overview:
I never realized
that there were so
many tools out
there to assist
students! Often
we get stuck on
the ones that are
provided for us by
the school district
and don’t
necessarily know
where to look.
Things I Learned:
Patienceis a virtue-it’s often not
There are a few computer error, it’s usually user error
things I learned
while taking this Have a Growth Mindset-it’s okay that
course and while is doesn’t work the first time
doing some of the Explore-try new things
projects.
Don’t be afraid-jump in and try
** I noticed these Ask for help-when really stuck
are all things that I
expect of my Need capable technology-in the
students, yet they classroom especially
were hard to expect Getout of your comfort zone-hard to
from myself** sometimes
Useable/Shareable:

There are so many

resources out there
that I was unaware of.
Knowing what each
one can assist the
learner with, can then
help with sharing and
putting it into use. I am
so excited to explore
more as I think there is
always more to learn.
o Read&write for
Engagement/ Google Chrome
o StoryLine
Accessibility: online
o TeacherTube
I think all of the o Different Math
resources I have Dictionaries
o Munch Stories
seen in this course o The Visual
have a great ability Dictionary
to be accessible and o Tux Paint
engaging. Things I o TedEd
o Simple English
would likely use in Wikipedia
the classroom for o How stuff
literacy/numeracy works
struggles or just o Discovery
o History
overall classroom
engagement are: There are so many
that all have
different usages
Making a difference:

I really think the

biggest difference for
my class, in the  Can talk to text
future, will be the use  Can give a vocabulary list
 Can have a visual and regular dictionary
of Read&write for  Can read aloud to you
Google Chrome.  Can allow the student to practice reading
what they have written and record it, also
Thinking about most creates other recordings of writing
learners that struggle  Can auto predict words for spelling
with literacy, this is struggles
 Can read information on webpages
the easiest and most  Can screen mask what you are reading to
inclusive way to help help with contrast while reading
 Can search anything up on the web
them be independent  Can check for mistakes and help correct
and empower them. them
“Aha” Moment: TRY IT!
My ”aha” moment was
early on this week when I
realized I didn’t want to try
anything new. I just NOTHING TO LOSE!
wanted to read about it and
not actually try it. I quickly
then realized that I am
afraid of going out of my
DON’T BE AFRAID!
comfort zone!
PATIENCE!
Goals for the Future:

To have more
accessible tools for my
students, teach myself
and my future
students that these are
great tools and can
enhance our skills and
help us be successful!
Overall, I want to
empower my students
through independence
and lifelong technology
skills!
Final
Thought:

Let’s allow
our
students to
explore
and be
expressive
in their
own way!
