INTRODUCTION

• Recently, we witnessed the winning streak of Shri. Narendra Modi, with

a record breaking vote count.
• The whole election process seems to be the biggest concern for a
democratic country like India. However, the DRE (Direct Recording
Election) process is an exhausting procedure.
• So, the proposed system focuses on an Internet based voting system
which enables the eligible voters to register themselves and cast their
votes from their respective wards
 METHODOLOGY AND DATA COLLECTION

• As the project aims to focus on real-world scenario, a lot of real and

working data needed to be collected.
• So, I gathered information related to the constituencies in Maharashtra,
the political parties and dummy candidates.
• The project is developed in PHP, MySQL, Bootstrap and Javascript.
• Project was tested on XAMPP server and the development environment
was Sublime Text Editor.
 SYSTEM EVALUATION

• During the testing process, I examined the working of the system. As

the amount of data increases, the maintenance of the system becomes
difficult.
• The main point, that is, the anonymity of voter is preserved.
• And the second point, there shouldn’t be double vote cast by the
voter. The above mentioned points proved to be successfully
implemented.
• The token-based voting enhances the security mechanism of the
project and works efficiently.
 CONCLUSION

• At the highest abstraction level, I could complete the development of

the proposed system.
• I conclude that the proposed system proved to be efficient for election
system and performs the required feature.
 FUTURE ENHANCEMENT

• There can be many updates to the proposed system.

• Firstly, the election system can be extended to the whole of country.
• Secondly, the use of security mechanisms will can make the system
more secure and authenticated.
• Lastly, the project can be integrated with the voter ID registration
procedure provided by the government.
