Remedial Class
•For Grade 11-12, leaners who fail a unit/set of

summer or as a back subject.

HOW DO SCHOOLS DETERMINE
AWARDEES?
-An Awards Committee (AC) shall be organized by the school head in every
school for each grade level at the beginning of the school year.

-For small school, only one shall be organized.

-Members must composed of at least three members from the teaching staff,
guidance counselor or designated teacher. The total number of AC should be
an Odd Number.

-The chairperson of AC could be any teachers, department head, grade-level


chairperson or curriculum head.

-No member of the AC should be related within the second degree of


consanguinity or affinity to any of the candidates for awards.
A. Grade – Level Awards

1. Academic Excellence Award


- given to learners who have attained a Gen.Ave. of at least 90 and passing final grade in all
2. Leadership Award
- given to learners in
Grade 12 who demonstrated exemplary skills
in motivating others and organizing projects that contributed to
the betterment of the school/community

-To qualify, a learner must:


a: have no failing grade in all learning areas
b: not committed any offenses punishable by suspension
c: be a class officer or an active member/officer of any
recognized school club, team, organization
3. Awards for Outstanding Performance in Specific
Discipline

- awards given to learners in grades 6, 10, and 12


who exhibited exemplary skills and achievement in
specific disciplines. These are:

ATHLETICS, ARTS, COMMUNICATION ARTS,


MATHEMATICS and SCIENCE, SOCIAL SCIENCES and
TECH-VOC.
4. Special Recognition

- Learners who represented and won in competitions at the district,


division, regional, national or international levels will be recognized.

- Schools may give due recognition to learners who have brought


honor to the school.

- Actual certificates, medals, trophies/plaques received by the


learners shall be used to publicly affirm and acknowledge the
contribution of the awardees

- In case of external sponsors, they shall be regulated by the school.


These awards should be consistent with Deped’s Mission, Vision and
Core Values.
