Mulai tahun 2014 produksi buah melon mengalami penurunan. Salah
perlu dilakukan beberapa tahapan pengujian varietas.
Melon (Cucumis melo L.) is one of the fruit commodities that is much
favored by the community because it has a sweet taste and the color of
fruit flesh varies.
Starting in 2014 the production of melon fruit has decreased. One of
the problems faced by melon farmers is the problem of seeds.
Effort to increase melon production can be achieved through
intensification, including by improving cultivation technology. One
way that can be done is to use superior seeds that have better quality.
In order for high-yielding varieties to be stable in various
environmental conditions, it is necessary to do several stages of
varieties testing. The stage include multilocation tests which aim to
determine the yield and growth potential of the varieties.

Introduction

This study aims to determine which genotypes are

superior to other tested genotypes and to determine the
Purpose effect of genotype x environment interactions on
agronomic characters grown in Malang Regency,
Ponorogo Regency and Batu City.

The hypothesis proposed in this study is that there are

genotypes that have advantages over other tested ones
Hypothesis
and there are effects of genotype x environment
interactions on agronomic characters grown in Malang
Regency, Ponorogo Regency and Batu City.

Research Method

The research method that used in each experimental location is

Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with single factor
that is genotype. The experiment will be repeated 3 times. So there
are 12 experimental plots in each location.

Conclusion

Based on the results of the study it can be concluded as follows:

1. The BME 2802 genotype is the genotype that shows the best compared to BME
4140 and BME 2800 genotypes in the three test locations seen from the character
of productivity.
2. Characteristics of fruit weight per plot, fruit flesh thickness, sweetness level (Brix),
fruit yield per hectare and harvest age showed significant differences in genotype
interactions with the environment.
