idea.

Declarative
Sentence
- It tells about
something. Ends
with a period (.).
 This is a prayer of a child.
 I pray every day.
 Liza brought her new
crayons.
Interrogative
Sentence
- It asks a question.
Ends with a
question mark (?).
 Did you listen well?
 Did you finish your
homework?
 Who is that lady in the
red dress?
Imperative Sentence
- It gives a command or
makes a request. It also
ends with a period.
 Feel its power.
 Color your project
neatly.
 Please help me set the
table.
Exclamatory Sentence
- It expresses a strong
feeling or emotion. It
ends with an
exclamation point (!)
 What a nice prayer it is!
 Wow! What a wonderful
painting this is!
 Congratulations! You
won first place!
