INTRODUCTION
“HOW THE EARTH WAS MADE” is a documentry television
series produced by Pinoeer production for the HISTORY
channel. It began as a two hour special exploring the
geological history of earth ,airing on december 16,2007.

The series premiered on februry 10,2009.

It contains 13 episodes.

And narrated by Corey Johson , Jonathan Keeble and

composed by Tim Garland.
GENRAL INTRODUCTION
• I had choosen this topic because it is very intersting as I was
willing to know how we were created how our beautiful
planet earth was created. In the proccess of evolution of
life on earth was beginings and distroyed many times. How
the dinasours was developed and distroyed many times.
How the reptiles were born and how the human being
were born.
• I had divided my project into various headings first the
“HOW THE EARTH WAS MADE” ,second is the “PILOT” and
third is the episodes of the program “hoe the earth was
made”. There are 26 episodes.
• In this the narrator beautifully explained about the nature
and atmoshphere of the earth.
AS SAID BY THE NARRATOR
In the very begining of the earth’s history , this planet was
a giant , red hot , roiling , boiling sea of molten rock- a
magma ocean. The heat had been generated by the
repeated high speed collisions tapered off the earth
began to cool , forming a thin crust on its surface. As
the cooling continued , water vapour began to escape
and condense in the earth’s early atmosphere . Clouds
formed and stromes raged , raining more and more
water down on the primitive earth , cooling the surface
further untiltine earth , cooling the surface further until
it flooded with water , forming the sea.
It is theorized that the true age of the earth
is about 4.6 billion years old , formed at
about the same time as the rest of our solar
system . The oldest rocks geologist have
been able to find are 3.9 billion years old.
Using radiometric dating methods to
determine the age of rocks means scientists
have to rely on whenthe rocks was initially
formed (as in when its internal minerals first
cooled). In the infancy of our home planet
the entire earth was molten rock –a magma
ocen
WHEN DID THE LIFE ON EARTH BEGIN?
• Scientists are still trying to unravel one of the
greatest mysteries of earth :when did “life first
appeard and how did it happen?”
• It is estimated that the first life forms on earth
were primitive , one called creatures that
appeared about 3 billion years ago.
• Then suddenly those multicellular organisms.
• Then an unprecedented profusion of life in
incredibly complex forms began to fill the oceans.
Some crawlwd from the seas and took residence on
land , perhaps to escape predators in the ocean . I
would be the first of several mass extinctions in
earth’s history.

Life has tenaciously clung to this small blue planet

for the last three billion years.

Scientists are finding new cues as to how life first

began on earth in some really intersting places the
deep oceans.
PILOT(2007)
• It is released on December 16,2007.
• This 90- min documentry explains the geological and biological
history of earth .
• In this it is explained how the earth was formed 4.5 billions years
ago to the present day.
• Explained about the very beginning of the earth ; the origins of
water.
• When the life began in the oceans and moved to the land the
carboniferous period and how it ended.
• When the dinosaurs ruled the land and the arrival of mammals ;
and the numerous ice ages.
• It also explains plate tectonics and ends with faresceable next
stages of our planet until it is final stagnation about 2 billion years
in the future.
EPISODES
• SAN ANDERAS FAULT :- A look at how geologist are keeping
an eye on California's 800 mile-long San Andreas Fault which many
believe is overdue for a major earthquakes in the region that could
destroy some of the most valuable real – estate in the world.
• THE DEEPEST PLACE ON EARTH:-A look at the geological
history of the Krakatau volcano in Indonesia , the 1833 eruption
which spawned a tsunami that took tens of thousands of lines , and
how another , possibly more powerful eruption , could happen again.
• CHALLENGER DEEP:-A look at Challenger deep , the deepest
part of the Mariana Trench , where only a few scientists have been
able to explore this amazing rift caused by the seduction of the
Pacific Plate under the Mariana Plate.
• TSUNAMI:- A look at how Tsunami are created , and the
possible consequence if a landslide generated mega tsunami were
to strike the east coast of the united states and countries that face
the Atlantic.
VESUVIUS:- A look at the geologic history of mount
Vesuvius which destroyed the ancient city of Pompeii's
how geologists are collecting evidence that the volcano is
stirring again ; and how another eruption could spell disaster
for the unprepared heavily – populated city of Naples.

EARTH DEADLIST ERUPTION :- A look back 250

million years ago when a massive volcanic eruption ,(in what
is now Siberia),spewed lava one mile thick over an area the
size of Texas ; caused intense climatic change that killed
95% of the life on the planet and paved the way for the next
dominant species – the dinosaures.

AMERICA’S GOLD:- A look at how gold , a scarce element

left behind by the explosions of supernovas, was collected
by the forming earth it in various places through out the
globe.
ICE LAND VOLCANO:-A look at the geological history of
Iceland and how the forces of fire and ice-volcanoes and
glaciers played a role together in the islands formation .

HAWALI:- A look at the geological puzzle of how the

isolated Hawaiian Islands chain was formed and predictions
about their future.

THE ALPS:-A look at the Alps mountain range in Europe;

how geologic uplifting caused by the collision the African and
Matterhorn and Eager to their current height and the marine
fossil evidence found there that shows the land was once
below sea level.

THE GRAND CANYON:-A look at how the Grand Canyon

in Arizona was believed to hand been formed by the slow
draining of an ancient lake which formed the Colorado river
and carved the canyon out over millions of years.
LOCH NESS:- A look at the geological history of scootland
and how Loch Ness was carved out by the movement of
ancient glaciere.

DRIEST PLACE ON EARTH:-A look at the Driest place on

the earth , the Atacama Desert in South America which is 50
times dryer then Death Valley , bacteria can still thrive.

YELLOW STONE:-A look at the Yellow Stone National Park

and the caldera super Volcano beneath it that is pushing up
the land and long overdue for what could be a titanic
erruption.

ASTERIODS:-A look at how asteriods played a role in the

formatio of the earth ; a study of how the Beranger meteor
crater in Arizon was formed , and why little evidence remains
of the metor itself to create it.
