TOPIC: Quadrilaterals and Triangle Similarity
BIG IDEAS: QUADRILATERAL and TRIANGLE SIMILARITY

MEANING: A quadrilateral is a four sided polygon while the triangle similarity are
two or more triangles that have all corresponding angles congruent and
corresponding sides are proportional.

Performance Standard: Able to investigate, analyse and solve problems involving triangle
similarity through appropriate and accurate presentation.

Competencies:
 Proves theorems on the different kinds of parallelogram (rectangle, rhombus, square).
 Proves the condition for similarity of triangles.

CONNECTION:
Through SEARCHING architectural design in varied countries. With this task the students
will be given a chance to investigate and analyse the importance of triangle similarity and
quadrilaterals.

investigation and analysis of the importance of triangle
