our water because they have clearly defined plans that will directly affect us.
 Our community currently faces a great threat to our health from the
planned toxic waste plant. This waste plant will pollute our water
supply, damage our environment, and halt recreational activities. What
is our government going to do about this? The NDP will only watch as
our community is destroyed, and the Conservative party’s attempts at
showing sympathy are disproven by their lack of an effective plan. On
the other hand, the Liberal party has a foolproof platform to help our
cause. The Liberal party will improve environmental assessments for

TEA works to keep our water clean and prevent pollution from
entering our water supply. They collect data about the
dumping of toxic waste in our waterways from companies,
which will be useful evidence for our cause. They monitor
existing policies to ensure that water polluters are held
accountable for their actions. This will make it easier for us to
ensure that the toxic waste company follows the law. They are
currently focusing on strengthening Toronto’s Pollution
Prevention Plan and adding new substances to the list of
chemicals that Toronto Water monitors and manages. This
means that they could create tighter restrictions to further
decrease the amount of toxic waste in our lake.
