 An official document, or stamp put in your passport, which allows you to enter or leave a particular country.
It also provides security assurance of each country’s diplomacy.
Not required to carry passport all the time, so you can keep it in the office.

Provided after orientation(Please return your temporary ID card).

This ID card works as your identification. Bring it with you when you are out.
Suggest it instead of passport for money exchange.
In case of loss, you need to pay the fee for reissuance.

According to our policy, you could be at a disadvantage if you

don’t carry the card or follow security guard’s instruction.

Using someone else’s card may be punishable.

Special Study Permit issued by the Philippine immigration office. It allows you to study legally with your travel visa.
After you pay your additional fee, the issuance would be in process within 2 weeks. (Fee 6,500P)

It is an identity card for foreigners staying longer than 59 days. Must have this if you are planning to study more than that.
(Fee 3,300P)

VISA works as a permission certificate whereas a passport is an international identification.

Korean people can stay for a month without a visa.
In case you stay longer, visa extension is required upon your schedule.

After you pay the extension fee for the period you might stay, PILAedu would process that paperwork for you.
Some errors could be emerged by accident so you need to check the extension schedule before your departure.

※ If you are planning to stay more than 8 weeks and only got a visa for 59 days,
you will be charged 1,500p for BI Clearance and additional fee for 1st and 2nd extension.

It takes more than 4 hours from Incheon, Korea
to Mactan-Cebu international Airport. Another 15
minutes to get to PILAeducation.

For the first among Cebu’s Language Academy, we have double-optic LAN provided by PLDT,
which serves the most stable network in Philippines, (5mb speed for every floor).
Usually other places have inferior environment for surfing internet.
Enjoy surfing internet whenever you want!(Do not use recklessly by playing games or downloading all the time).

Philippines is a country of water shortage. It is not recommended to drink tap water, just use it for shower and laundry.
We have two different water supply lines so no need to worry about shortages. (Water dispenser on every floor).
Also prepared for emergency situations by possessing a 20,000L water tank. (Water pressure could be lower than usual),

Philippines is the only country not having a nuclear power plant. Unexpected blackouts happen sometimes.
PILAedu has its own generator so that we can recover sudden blackout.
(Air-conditioner’s not allowed without permission in this case).
 Not that cheap compare to Korea except for hiring people and transportation.(Hard to adjust like Filipino)
Clothes and industrial products cost almost same to Korea either, but price of cars and electronic devices are 1.5 times
more expensive. However household items, dining, massage, diving and other leisures are considerably cheaper.

Peso, Philippine’s monetary unit, its face value is higher than Korea Won.(23-25 times)
Seem to be limitative recently, but think once more before you spend your allowance.

The legal process of accidents outside of campus is subject to local law and PILAedu is not responsible for any accumulations.
(But, handling of the incident and post processing of incidents are handled within the scope of the student transfer/traveler

(If valuables are lost outside of designated locations(including academy safe), the academy will not take any responsibilities.)

• Use the machines in cooperation with others not to make any arguments.
• Clothes might be spoiled because of the chemicals in Philippine’s water. (Required to bring cheap clothes)

• Breakfast: Pancakes, toast, cereal, juice, fruit, salad etc.
(Steamed rice is served as fried, or with simple side dish(Fried eggs, Sausages etc.) twice a week.
Please put your name on the no-breakfast list if you don’t want to have breakfast. 100P fine would be charged w/o informing.
• Lunch / Dinner : Mostly based on Korean food, 3-4 side dishes including soup.
• Food and Kitchen utensils are not allowed to take out, might cause disadvantages upon our policy.
• Different meal time on holidays.

• Must be finished in given time. Distribution would end 10 minutes before the closing time.
• Eating out has to be informed for preparing foods. No need to waste. (Duty system for the breakfast applied basically)
