Ways of Acknowledging
• ‘References’ and ‘Works Cited’ mean the
same thing – they list the sources you have
actually cited or mentioned in your document.
• ‘Bibliography’ it is a lists of relevant sources
that you have consulted or are aware of, but
not used in the document.
• Providing a bibliography helps readers who
may not be familiar with different works in the
field.
Styles of Acknowledgement
• The styles vary largely in punctuation and
sequence of identifying details rather than in
substance. Some of the well known styles are:
• APA Style,
• Harvard Style,
• MLA Style,
• Chicago Style, and
• IEEE Style

To see what your
final bibliography
will look like,
click the
Bibliography link
To alter or update your
Bibliography, click in it, You can change the font style, size or
then make the changes spacing here, or paste in new citations
from database articles, then format
them to match the APA style.
Make sure you keep your list in
alphabetical order.
To insert an in-text
reference, first place your
cursor at the correct
place. Next click ‘Insert
Citation’, and select your
source.
Click on the inserted
citation to change its
details or to update the
whole reference (source
details)
