ENDOPHORA

Endophora in linguistics, is a term that means an expression which refers

to something intratextual or in the same text.

Example :
• I saw Jimmy yesterday, he was lying on the beach.
• Luth lives in Banda Aceh with his family.
The word “he” here is an Endophoric expression because it refers to
something already mentioned in the text “Jimmy”.
