Recruitment is the process of finding and


attracting capable applicants for
employment.

 Green Card: An official document issued by
the US Government to alliance allowing them
to work permanently in US

 H1 Work Permit: Aliens can enter US for


three years if they work in a specialized field
and their employers cannot fill the position
locally. The three years can also be extended
to six years. Programmers and other
technicians in the computer field enter the US
under this status. Dependants cannot legally
work in U.S.
 L1 Work Permit ( Intra company transfer):
This visa allows companies operating both in
US and abroad to transfer certain class of
employees from its foreign operations to US. L1
visa holders cannot work for another company
unless an H1 visa is sponsored by the company
for them. Dependants are legally authorized to
work in U.S.

 OPT (Optional Practical Training): OPT is a


period during which undergraduate and
graduate students with F1 status who have
completed or have been pursuing their degrees
for more than nine months are permitted by
the (USCIS) to work in U.S without requiring H1
1099
When a person is paid in the form of 1099, all
money earned by the individual is paid on an
untaxed basis. It is then the responsibility of the
individual to file and pay the appropriate taxes.

W2
When a person is paid in the form of W2, the
employer automatically withholds and pays
all of the necessary taxes as required.
These taxes include Federal income Tax,
State income Tax, Social security and
Medicare Tax
 Full Time: The company hires person on
permanent( Long term) basis.
 Contract to hire: When a contract
opportunity turns into a full time
opportunity after a predefined period of
time.
 Temporary( Contract) Placement: The term
contracting refers to a situation in which a
person works for a company who is not
his/her employer of record. It can be of 2
types:
Contract (corp2corp): An agreement is
made between the hiring company and the
candidate’s employer for a temporary
project
Contract W2: When a company hires a
candidate on their own payroll for a
temporary basis.
 Preparation of resumes and consultant
allotment to BDM’s
 Go through the resume you are going to
market
 Contact the consultant and identify their
preferences. Also give them the submission
sheet to keep a track of the total number of
submissions.
 Get basic information like full name, location,
relocation preferences, availability for f2f or
skype interviews.
 Post the resumes in the job portals, Keep
updating the resumes on daily basis.
 Search for the matching requirements in
portals, internet and with your vendors.
 Submit to the best matching requirement and
try to get interviews for your consultant.

We also use google groups for submissions.


 Basic information to be provided when
submitting consultants for a position:
1. Name
2. Visa
3. Rate: on C2C
4. Location
5. Relocation
6. Availability

Sometimes recruiters ask for official references


and last 4 digits of SSN before submission.
 Get a rate confirmation from the recruiter after
providing all necessary information.
 Once a submission is made, the recruiter will
submit the consultant to the client/ primary
vendor. If the resume is shortlisted they will
come back with an interview schedule
 Follow up with the vendors to get an update
on your submission.
 If the resume gets shortlisted, coordinate
between the recruiter and the consultant to
set up an interview.
 Get feedback from the vendor after the
interview.
 Preliminary Paper work: Which is done
before interview schedule for the consultants.
Documents:
NCA: Non Compete Agreement - includes
tax terms and pay rates. Also includes the
norms to be followed by the both parties.
 Master Paper Work: Which is done after
consultant is selected for the project.
Documents:
MSA: Master service Agreement
PO: Purchase Order.
 Talk to your consultants on a daily basis
 Check the submission sheet at least twice a
week.
 Always get a written rate confirmation from
the recruiters
 Follow up on the feedback for the interviews
 Do not hesitate to call the recruiters.
