STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM
One of the observed problem in Senior High
School students of Cagdianao National High School is
solving Mathematics problems for mostly subject of
them and by that, It became as dilemma for them,
especially when it comes in solving high and difficult
statistical, arithmetical and mathematical problems.
This factors mainly affect their grades and
reasons to failed or having low grades in any type of
subjects that involve mathematics which is one of the
important subject, because it provides large effect and
impact of an average grade, especially mathematics is
one of an academic curriculum.
This research provides solutions and results on
how respondents can give their answers and
researchers can know what is the importance of using
any calculators in solving mathematics problem, and
what devices mostly used in solving problem-solutions,
either students use calculators which is original
devices, calculator apps on their cellular phones, or
Photomath apps that is installed in Cellular phones or
gadgets and other media forms.

1. What is their average grades in Mathematics subject?

2. What mostly device they used in solving mathematics subject?

3. How many percent of students uses calculators during mathematics


subject?

4. How many students in favor of using calculators and make it


acceptable to their subject teachers in using this kind of devices during
math classes?

5. How many percent of students that uses original calculators devices?

6. How many percent of student that uses calculator apps on their


various cellular phone?

7. How many percent of students that are uses photomath installed


apps?

8. How many percent of students does not use any calculators and
depends only on their knowledge ( intelligence quotient )?
METHODS AND PROCEDURES
This chapter focuses on the methods and procedures used in the
study in order to gather significant data and information why it is
important to used Calculators during Mathematics classes.
Research Design
The study used a quantitative research design especially using the
survey and interview type to gather data. This study use the mean
of the respondents of Senior High School students of Cagdianao
National high School on the questions about “The Importance of
Using Any Calculators during Mathematics Classes in Senior High
School Students “
Research Environment
The study conducted in Cagdianao National High School, Cagdianao
Dinagat Islands. It is a public school consisting 996 students
learners. It is an island school consist of students in different
barangays such as Poblacion, San Jose, Sta. Rita , Nueva Estrella,
Laguna , Cabungaan , Maatas and Tigbao.
Research Respondents
The respondents of the study are the senior High School students of
Cagdianao, National High School which includes Grade 11 STEM,
ABM, BPP, ICT and Grade12 STEM, ABM, BPP and ICT. The
researchers conducted a survey or an interview by asking them some
questions.
