Introduction
• The Pipe Bending Machine uses three
powered rollers in a triangular
arrangement.
• The top roller exerts downward pressure,
while the two bottom rollers push up to
deform the pipe.
• This type of bending machine is known as
Ring Roll Bending machine.
• It can bend pipes and tubes to large center
line radius, i.e. to large circumferences.

• First of all, choosing component material is very important,

because it will affect the overall cost of the machine and the
product quality.
• Bendable Materials: Aluminium, Brass, Carbon Steel, Copper ,
Polyvinyl Chloride(PVC), Cast Iron.
• Tube And Pipe shape can be oval, round, rectangular, square.

Project problem

• The main reason to choose this project is to

simplify the operation of bending.
• The main problem is that the machines already
available are most costly.
• Our focus is just to make the machine cost
efficient.
• Maintenance cost is more.

• Can be made portable.

• Simple construction.
• Easily operated.
• Better productivity.
• Enhancing the availability of machinery and
making it cheap.

Literature Review
• At present, India has large number of manufacturers
for Pipe Bending Machine, including manual, semi-
automatic and automatic type.
• The manufacturers of this machine are: Bombay tool
Center(Mumbai), Shamam Engineering
Industries(Nashik), Nisha Engineering Works(Pune),
Vishwakala Machine Tools(Rajkot), Taj
Enterprises(Pune).
• But all these machines are meant for installation at
large scale industries.

• The machines are either custom made or imported, so

availing the machine is costlier process.
• Also, the machines available are either fully automated
or manual.
• So, there is a need of alternative low cost semi-
automated portable type bending machine in order to
make it easily available.

• Applied for MSME Funding. If we get funds, the

approx cost will be 1.5lac.
• If not funded, then approx cost will be 30k.
