Manager (Job Group B)

Roles & Responsibilities- Sales
Summary:
Add value by effectively managing sales geography and support BPCL in becoming the market leader in
MS/HSD, lubricants, domestic, non-domestic, commercial and bulk products, ensure compliance, achieve
greater market share and growth; champion sales initiatives across the territory
Major functions:
Client Acquisition & management, Liaison with Dealer/Distributorship network/Boundary Management,
Enforce and implement statutory requirements & audits, Site security, Customer service, Brand
management, Developing & Deploying Marketing and loyalty programs, Business development
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Effective communication, ability to deal with ambiguity, market research and analytical ability,
interpersonal skills, ability to carry out role-based transactions, extensive branding, network
segmentation, micro-market handling and management
Other desirables:
Physical agility, ability to drive a car through assigned sales area, ability to work independently in
locations, ability to coordinate with channel partners, ability to relocate periodically
Basic Eligibility Criteria

Minimum Marks General and OBC 60% and above (or equivalent CGPA and above) in
(No rounding off of %age) (Non Creamy layer) aggregate of all preceding trimesters (until 4th trimester)
SC/ST/PWD (PWD) 50% and above (or equivalent CGPA and above) in
aggregate of all preceding trimesters (until 4th trimester)
Candidates should not have any pending backlog as on date of selection process
Candidates should be pursuing the regular 2-yr course
Candidates should not have dropped any year/semester in between their course
Candidates will be required to submit a copy of valid caste/ disability certificate (as applicable) issued by competent
authority, in case they are selected. Only Indian Nationals are eligible to participate in the selection process.

Medical Fitness
 Selected candidates will have to clear the pre-employment medical fitness test
before joining the organization
 Candidates should be of sound physique free from any physical defect
 Myopia & Hypermetropia (vision), if any, should be with in permissible limits i.e.
(-) 6.00 & (+) 4.00
 Color blindness or squint, partial or full, will disqualify the candidate
 Any major medical ailment will debar a candidate from being eligible for the job

Performance Related 30,100/-pm (*approx.) (paid annually subject to Individual/
Pay Business/Company’s performance & availability of profits )
Superannuation Benefits (30% of Basic + 21,462/-pm (*approx.) (PF, Gratuity, post retirement medical benefit &
DA) (DA figures updated as on July 2017) New Pension scheme)
*DA - varies every quarter
**Payable, if not staying in company accommodation and varies according to the class of city. For calculation, it is taken
24% applicable to Metros)
Salary Components (cont.)

• Employees are eligible for conveyance reimbursement ( less transport subsidy ), if they own
two wheeler /four wheeler and use the same where they are posted
• On confirmation in service, employees are entitled for Remote Access Facility, PC on hire and
Vehicle loan ( Two or Four wheeler ). Employees are also entitled for Furniture on Hire after 3
years of service with BPCL.
• Housing Loan is one more facility available for employees after 3 years of service in the
Corporation
• Good network of Holiday Homes is available across all popular tourist destinations in the
country
