Definition:

It is the spiritual or religious state, or a

condition of moving beyond physical
needs and realities.

HINDUISM • The quest for absolute truth is the unity of
Brahman and Atman or one's soul to that of the
cosmos soul.
• Human beings have dual nature: the spiritual
immortal essence (soul) and empirical life and
character.
• Human body is an illusion and an obstacle to an
individual's realization of one's real self.
• Karma - The action to the world of matter which
will be rewarded or punished accordingly.
• Moksha - The liberation of spirit from the cycle
of birth and death.

purpose of the Veda”
