DATAMEX INSTITUTE OF

COMPUTER TECHNOLOGY
ACT 2-2
CALOOCAN BRANCH
 Questionnaire
 In order to obtain a quantitative figure, the
questionnaire was prepared by the researchers and the
respondents need to answer the question prepared.
 Interview
 The proponents conducted an interview to gather
some data in the Datamex Institute of Computer
Technology for the development in the system. The
interview conducted with the teacher/professor and
students of the school.
Introduction
 Grading System it is a web based design
for rewards of incentive for achievement.
It is commonly use as evaluating and
analyzing the performance. It can also aid
the teacher to lessen their works in sorting
and locating the database of the student.
It can help also for the teacher to easily
compute the students grades.
BackGround Study
 As our observation in Datamex school most of the
Professors are using mixed system the manual and
grading system. As we conducted survey and
interview to the teachers and college students .During
of our surveying.
 Some of the problem that encountered of our
researchers in manual system the grades are easy to
alter, and it is less secured.
Problem Statement
 The purpose of these study is to assist the Datamex
Institute of Computer Technology school be
transform into full IT compliant, IT risk management
is strictly implemented and cyber free learning
institution.
 Vulnerable and less secure classified records
 Inconsistent grades
 Easy to alter the grades
Objectives
 To achieve the solutions of the above stated problems
the following measures are needed.

 THE SCHOOL TO BE FULLY COMPUTERIZED
SYSTEM

 Change the grading data from manual to
computerized
 Secured the data using login system
 Can update the grades and informations
Significance of the Study
 To the students of Datamex Institute of Computer technology- to easily access updates
pertaining to their grades.

 To the administration and management of the school - it serves the system as their database in
recording and locating the student files in order them to instantly access their grades.

 To the School – be more responsive because the database recording system is much easier, secured
and accurate compared to manual and excel grading system.

 To the researcher–This will provide them to gain more knowledge and help them express their ideas.
It likewise serves as their reference in searching upcoming activities

SCOPE AND LIMITATION
 SCOPE:
 The scope of this study is for the Datamex Institute of
Computer Technology to be fully IT compliant to be more
responsive on its mandate and prestige as a learning institution.
It also lessen the burden for the management on man power
requirements
 The system can view the student’s record.
 The system can compute the students grades.
 The system is password protected.

 LIMITATIONS:
 The system cannot print the student’s grades.
 It can’t be viewed online

 Grading
 Evaluating of performance by assigning a grade or score.
 School
 Is an educational institution designed to provide learning spaces and learning environments for teaching of
students under the direction of teachers.
 Vital
 Absolutely necessary or important essential.
 Vulnerable
 More likely to be exposed to malicious programs or viruses.
 Defenceless, helpless , unguarded, unprotected, weak.
Methodology (chapter3)

 This chapter process on the methods of research used in

making the study, which is a
 Online reservation based on the Internet Application. It is
needed to have a clear and deeper
 understanding on how the system was developed. By using
the different methodology
 that clearly discusses the method used, the instrument
used in gathering of data, analytical
 tools, the software design, development and
implementation of the system in software and
Tools and Materials
 The programming Language used was Visual Basic , a
server type programming which
 is suitable for our system. Visual Basic 6.0 for the
coding and Adobe Photoshop for the graphic
 and design. Microsoft Access for the storage of the
information and Microsoft Office Word for
 the documentation of our reports.
Data Gathering Instruments
 Internet Research
 The proponent conducted an internet research to
gather more data and information
 related to our study.
 Observation
 Through observation the proponents discovered that
most of the teacher are using excel grading system.
