 Social Media refers to websites and apps that allow people to interact
with others, or create and share content. Popular social media
platforms for youth
include Snapchat, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Flickr.
 There are many different ways that people use social media: online
profiles, friends, messaging / chats, walls and boards, photo and video
sharing, vlogs,joining groups, playing games, online dating
 Social media is a rapidly evolving platform for younger people lately to
communicate, express themselves and share content of all kinds. It
has given rise to a new cultural paradigm that drives technology and
businesses while changing the way people interact.
 As a tool, social media is a double-edged sword; while it has many
benefits, it can also influence youngsters in unhealthy ways.

1. Initially set boundaries on what sites they can be on and for how long.
2. Encourage your children to engage more in actual communication with
people rather than online networking. They need to be taught the
importance of spending more time in real life friendships and activities.
3. Encourage other interests or passions they may have. It could
be hobbies, sports, social work or anything that is not virtual.
4. Suggest them to use social media platforms constructively to enhance
their learning or to collaborate with others who have similar interests
5. Supervise their online activity, so you can teach them to protect
themselves from online predators and bullies
6. Join their social networking site so you can be better aware of how it
works.
- CONCLUSION

Actually, social media invented to make human life better. This

platform may be an appropriate learning source and also
effective way to socialize to the peoples worldwide.

But, to the children, parent should do supervise to prevent

negative bias like addiction, isolation, loneliness, feeling anxious,
or exposure to many destructive western beliefs.
