` The Su-30MKI is a highly integrated twin-
finned aircraft. The airframe is constructed of titanium and high-strength aluminium alloys. The engine is fitted with trouser fairings to provide a continuous streamlined profile between the nacelles and the tail beams. The fins and horizontal tail consolesare attached to tail beams. The central beam section between the engine nacelles consists of the equipment compartment, fuel tank and the brake parachute container. The fuselage head is of semi-monocoque construction and includes the cockpit, radar compartments and the avionics bay.
` Pressure is measured w.r.t a vacuum refrence.
` There is use a transducer. ` Application of this device is measuring hight of aircraft. u u
` This instrument is used for starting engine with
gas turbine starter on ground as well as in air. Total duration of one cycle of operation is 60 sec. It sequentially switches on & off various systems like:- ` Flop valve for turbo starter. ` Ignition aggregates. ` Solenoid valve for oxygen supply to turbo starter. ` Electrical starter. ` Fuel inject valve.
` Also called ADR(Accident Data Recorder).
` It is device used to record specific aircraft performance parameters. ` Cockpit Voice Recorder is another kind of flight recorder. ` Popularly referred as a DzBlack Boxdz used for accident investigation, material degradation and engine performance. mmm
` Information storage system
` Matching mechanism
` Transducers for various parameters.

` This system senses temperature of aircraft air conditioning system. In case temperature rises above required level, it transmits following warning signals to pilot:- ` Above 25 C- Failure of temperature controls system. ` Above 35C-Switch off air conditioning & avionics. ` Above 45C-Closes air intake to special cooling system. m a
` This system measures fuel quantity available in aircraft. The system performs following major function:- ` Fuel flow metering Ȃ This part computes total quantity of fuel available in aircraft & transmits to various airborne systems for display & recording. ` Fuel quantity gauge-This part exclusively computes quantity of fuel available in service tank & transmits to various airborne systems for display & warning. ` Automatic control- This part manages sequence of fuel flow to/from various tanks during refuelling as well as during consumption.
` These are impeller type of sensors which
produces electrical signals proportional to the rate of flow of fuel through it .Fuel consumed by aircraft is computed based on the signals provided by these sensors. It is a part of fuel flow metering system of STR7-51 system.
` This instrument computes quantity of fuel in
service tank(tank 2) based on signals from sensors which are fuel probes(DT-4) & temperature probe(P109). It delivers computed information to following instruments:- ` Digital light indicator. ` Refuelling control panel(PKUZ7-2). ` Stand by equipment. ` Complex information signalling system(KISS). ` It gives warning signal to pilot for residual fuel of 1500 kg in main tank mm u
` This instrument is a cockpit display device . It controls display fuel quantity of service tank .This unit gets fuel quantity unit(BT3-4), process it & displays accordingly .It is fitted in both the cabins.
` This instrument is a display device & is used
on ground during refuelling. It performs following functions:- ` To display total fuel quantity. ` To display fuel quantity of service tank. ` To display actual fuel density. ` Built in test. ` To control systems during line maintenance check. m
` It has been designed for so as save pilot life in
case of any foreseen circumstances. ` It is a total mechanical system. ` In case of fighter there are only one ejection seat while in trainer aircraft there are two ejection seats.
` This device is made by two layers like medicine
capsule. ` Manufacturing elements:- Bronze and phosphorus. ` It should be precise . Inner area is vacuum or pressure. ` Application
