Prefabricated construction: Prefabrication refers to
the process of assembling components of a building
remotely before installing it at the site. It has
completely changed the face of modern-day
construction pattern by facilitating faster execution
and on-time delivery of homes. Prefabrication
involves effective cooperation from architects and
developers to determine the exact size and structure
of a building.
It is being seen as an alternative construction
technique that reduces construction time, is cost-
effective and produces less waste.
The concept of green construction involves using
construction material that is environmentally
responsible and resource-efficient throughout a
building's life cycle — right from construction to
operation, maintenance, renovation and
demolition.
It not only fulfils a developer's social responsibility
obligation but is also cost-efficient and in high
demand.
BIRTH OF URVI
•Engineers of Urvi decided to replace cement with
Porotherm—a hollow block walling system made of clay
which is just as efficient as a standard brick. However, it is
more sustainable and uses about 95% less water during
construction.
•This move saved a lot of cement and sand
•Reclaimed wood from demolished houses fulfilled the entire
wood requirement of the home. Not a single tree was cut
down
• high-performance glass on the roof as skylights and
ventilator turbines—the kind you see on the roofs of
warehouses—to make sure that the house was well-lit and
perfectly ventilated.

THE MUNICIPAL CORPORATION WILL
PROVIDE FOOD TO THE POOR AND
HOMELESS IN LIEU OF PLASTIC WASTE.
Persons fetching 1 kg plastic waste will be

from the city's main

who presented the
city's municipal
budget on this.
Road Built By Reusing Plastic
Waste

the Garbage Cafe Scheme. There is a
plan to provide free shelter to the
homeless who collect plastic waste.
Ambikapur already has a road made
with plastic granules and asphalt
 The first such road in the state has been
made in the city by mixing 8 lakh plastic

plastic and asphalt is durable, because
the water does permeate through it
 Under the campaign, the Municipal

Ola has launched Ola Bike
 Ola has launched Ola Bike, the motorcycle taxi service, in Agra.
Ola Bike is currently present in 3 cities in Uttar Pradesh and 13
cities across India, and offers the same services as those in
booking a cab. It appears as a separate category on the Ola
app. Ola first launched its bike taxis in Bangalore in March 2016,
the same time as Uber launched its similar service.
 According to Ola, the UP government has been investing in
“developing a smart transport system with a multi-modal fleet” to
address the increased demand for transport. Ola’s press release
cited D.K Singh, RTO Officer, Agra, as saying that Ola Bike
would help boost the tourism in the city, and “ease the pressure
on road traffic and build a sustainable transport system.” Ola’s
regional head for North, Pranav Mehta, said that Ola Bike would
be useful for short trips and offer jobs in the state.
Jawwad Patel, a 22-year-old engineering student from Hyderabad
has designed a 3D-printed apparatus which can ‘create’ water from
air. He is the first person from Asia to do so. The water apparatus
produces pure drinkable water with the help of computerized sensor
interface with UV filter. In an hour, the device can extract nearly 1.8
liters of water from air. Called ‘Dewdrop’, this device uses the
moisture in the air to create the water
EAT WITH IT AND THEN EAT IT !!

Thanks to Indian company Bakeys, you can now have your spoon —
and eat it, too. The company created edible spoons made of rice,
wheat or sorghum to help curb plastic waste. The cutlery, which has
a shelf life of two years, comes in flavored varieties such as ginger-
garlic and cumin.
The spoons can even hold hot liquids, like soup, without dissolving.
This Regenerating Candle………..

The candle holder collects melting wax to form a new candle.

The way it works is as the candle burns, melting wax drip down from
the candle and accumulates inside a transparent stem with a wick.
Once the candle is completely melted, you can crack open the
mold, and new, fully formed candle will be removed(you can then
start the whole process over again).
