Pre-workshop questionnaire
Purpose: This questionnaire will assist understanding of the current practices,

procedures and policy of countries in Southeast Asia concerning efforts to prevent
and reduce abandoned, lost or otherwise discarded fishing gear (ALDFG), including
through best practice in fishing gear management and marine litter action plans. The
combined responses from all participating entities will be analyzed and discussed at
the FAO Workshop on the Best Practices to Prevent and Reduce ALDFG to provide a
foundation of knowledge to build upon during the Workshop and for
recommendations on the way forward at regional and international levels.
