Overview
 The recent technological innovations offer new opportunities
and challenges for enterprises in the context of Digital
Transformation, which traditionally deals with enterprise -
Information Technology planning and coordination.

 Using technologies in organizations within the context of

Digital Transformation requires an exercise in understanding
how to express their usefulness in relation to the creation,
access and sharing of contents and Enterprise Information
System in a safe way.
OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY

 To complete view of Digital Transformation to

improve the organizational well-being considering
the traditional enterprise to a digital enterprise.
INFORMATION SYSTEMS

An information system is the information and communication

technology (ICT) that an organization uses, and also the way in
which people interact with this technology in support of business
processes.
 Transaction processing system
 Decision support system
 Executive information system
 Management information system
 Workflow system
 Enterprise resource planning and
 Expert systems.
ENTERPRISE INFORMATION SYSTEM

expectation to share digital information from disparate sources
to improve organizational effectiveness.

 Using a critical realist perspective, the process of change as a

three-stage cycle in which the ostensive, performative and
material aspects organizational elements interact differently in
each stage
DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION

 Digitalization is, therefore, strongly linked to data management

and analytics, acting both as an enabler and a control mechanism.
 The universe of digital measures will continue to expand, looking
into more features and insights of digital economies, societies,
industries, enterprises, and clients.
 Seven factors are analyzed to provide a starting point for creating
successful digital transformations in business.
 This tool may be utilized by managers, supporting them to move
from an ad hoc technology driven approach to a more systematic
integrated approach to digital transformation .
EIS IN ORGANIZATION
DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION & ORGANIZATION
PROCESSES

 The managerial challenges associated with digital transformation in

automotive organizations.
 Industrial-age organizations are transformed by digital innovation
and that the resulting managerial challenges are more radical than
what has been known from IT-enabled business transformations in
the past.
 In order to survive and thrive in the digital transformation,
incumbent companies must develop ambidexterity capabilities to be
able to resolve emerging physical-digital paradoxes and realize the
vast potentials of digital innovation
TRANSFORMATION THROUGH DIGITAL
INNOVATION

 As digital innovations influence processes and infrastructures in a

holistic manner, research and also addresses the entire enterprise
architectures.
 The automotive industry, initial research has focused on the
challenges of incumbent players in coping with the deviations in
product design and innovation logics for digital innovation.
 Digital product design is rather an end product of a process that
entails changes on a much larger, strategic scale comprising
business models and ecosystems.
 Industry experts participating in our study ranked the rather
strategic aspects - to date relatively neglected by research on digital
innovation highest
TRANSFORMING A TRADITIONAL ENTERPRISE
TO DIGITAL ENTERPRISE

 Digital transformation is observed across many industries today. For

instance, IT departments in retail businesses have taken a digital
initiative to go online via e-commerce. This helps in reaching a
large customer base and improves business visibility as well as
profitability.
 Customers expect a consistent experience which requires companies
to think differently about the way they organize themselves, their
governance structures, and their standards for data and systems
Traditional to Digital Enterprise
Transformation
Four Ways to Transform a Traditional
Enterprise to a Digital Enterprise

 Organizations need to understand where the value of going

digital lies.
 There are always many things needed to build a digital
portfolio, and focusing on the ones that count is important.
 To take an end-to-end view, ensuring that customers get an
omni-channel experience from end to end while ensuring all
functions work well together.
 Need business portfolio and understand how this
transformation may have an impact on business valuations.
Also identify and focus on building optimum digital
capabilities to re-balance portfolio.
Conclusions
 The specific managerial challenges associated with the impact
of digital transformation in the industrial-age, physical
product manufacturing automotive industry.
 The study points to the radicalization of IT-enabled business
transformation going beyond intraorganizational challenges,
the transformation of industrial business through digital
innovation and the emergence of physical-digital paradoxes.
 Technology allows the production, sharing and management
of information and knowledge within the organization
between peers and other stakeholders, besides empowering the
improvement and innovation of the organizational processes.
Conclusions

 Organizations also require the updating of the supporting

Enterprise Information Systems (EIS).
 Information Systems (IS) continues to make sense of the role
of digital technology in human enterprise.
 Using technologies in organizations within the perspective of
Digital Transformation necessitates to train in accepting how
to express their usefulness in relation to the creation, access
and sharing of contents and Enterprise Information System is
protected.
