 HUL has the ability to make a difference through its brands & bring
about a social change
 Unilever has a simple but clear purpose – to make sustainable living
commonplace. It believe that this is the best long-term way for their
business to grow.
 Unilever is committed to making sustainable living commonplace
and the logo is a visual expression of that commitment. Each icon
has a rich meaning at its core, and represents some aspect of our
effort to make sustainable living commonplace.
HUL Initiatives

 Enhancing livelihoods through Project Shakti


Project Shakti is an initiative to financially empower rural women and
create livelihood opportunities for them. It provides a regular income
stream for the Shakti entrepreneurs and their families.
HUL has trained thousands of women in villages across India to
develop an entrepreneurial mindset and make them financially
independent. These women entrepreneurs (called Shakti Ammas)
have been trained on basic tenets of distribution management and
familiarisation with the Company’s products
 Impact
Project Shakti now has over one lakh micro-entrepreneurs across 18
states.
HUL Strategy

 The Unilever Sustainable Living Plan sets out to decouple our growth
from our environmental footprint, while increasing our positive social
impact. Our Plan has three big goals to achieve, underpinned by
nine commitments and targets spanning our social, environmental
and economic performance across the value chain. We will
continue to work with others to focus on those areas where we can
drive the biggest change and support the UN Sustainable
Development Goals (SDGs).
 Three big goals are :
Improving health and well being for more than 18 billion
Reducing environmental impact by half
Enhancing Livelihoods for millions
