Part 1:

 Form a group of six.


 Pick three two-line tongue twisters.

 Recite it fast and repeatedly while maintaining


precision and clarity in spoken words.
Group 1 Susie Shine
 I saw Susie sitting in a shoe shine shop

 Where she shines, she sits, and where she sits, she
shines

Group 2 Woodchuck
 How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if the
woodchuck could chuck wood?
 He would chuck, he would, as much as he could.

Group 3 Peter Piper


 If Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers

 Where’s the peck of pickled peppers that Peter Piper


picked?
Group 4 She Sells
 She sells sea shells by the seashore

 And the shells she sells by the seashore are sea shells
for sure.

Group 5 Bleeding Boys


 Brave, bleeding boys battle bald, biting babies

 Biting babies ride battle toys while bumbling boys

Part 2:
Each group should take turns in saying
“What is this?” while varying the intensity of
voice and with the following emotions:

 e. loneliness
 f. surprise

Part 3:
Present your group’s part 1 and part 2
activities in class as if you were contestants in a
talent show.

maintaining eye contact and speaking naturally. Also,

Goal: Your task is to write and deliver a speech about the role of regular
exercise or physical activity in improving cardiovascular health.

Role: You are a young cardiologist. You have been tasked by the Philippine
Heart association to write and deliver a speech to a local community. The
prevalence of heart disease in this community is the highest in the country.

Audience: Persuade the local community members about the importance of


regular exercise and physical activity in improving heart health and reducing
the risk of cardiovascular diseases.

Situation: the challenge involves coming up with a speech about the


importance of physical activities and regular exercise in improving heart
health and reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease. Make it as interesting
and as unique as possible. You need to persuade your audience to engage in
physical activities or regular exercise by informing them of the negative effects
sedentary lifestyle and the many benefits of getting involved in disorders.
Explain how people who engage in regular physical activities combined with
health diet have a reduced risk developing heart diseases.
Product/Performance and Purpose: You will write and deliver a
combination of informative and persuasive speech using the following
guidelines:
 Make a description of the local community as having the highest prevalence
of heart disease in the whole country.
 Explain how a sedentary lifestyle leads to many cardiovascular disorders.
 Include a detailed description and explanation of how physical activity or
regular exercise can improve heart health.
 Write a detailed description and explanation of how cardiovascular disorders
can be prevented by exercising regularly and engaging in other physical
activities.
 Edit your first draft for content, organization, style, language and grammar.
 Your edited speech must contain in a minimum of 500 words.
 Consider the following when you deliver the speech:

 Print your finished product (first draft edited speech) on short bond paper,
