Being always present in class and
getting to school on time. We will be
discussing about the background of
our study. It include fact about
tardiness the different factors that
causes it and its effect to the students
as student and bearer of their own
lives in the future.
First we will give a definition of
tardiness and present some theories and
facts about it. Next we will discuss the
various that causes the students to come
to school at late. The psychology
theories, the observation of the teachers
and the personal reasons of the
students. Lastly the effect of tardiness to
students, not just himself/ herslef but also
to his/her future and to other people, will
be discussed.
As students, we are expected to
perform well with excellence in
everything that we do, must especially
in the academic aspect”lateness” can
be defined as the “situation where an
individual arrives after the proper
time”.

Based on research about reason
of habitual tardiness always and often
times being tardy in the flag ceremony
in attending classes after recess time
in the morning and afternoon session
and during first period afternoon
session.
Arriving late to school can also mean
that students miss out on activities
designed to build connection with their
peers, potentially impacing their social
interaction and creating a greater sense
of alienation from their classmates.
Tardiness among students has its own
negative repercussion more over as
mentioned(zeiger 2010) the result from
the survey report conducted by teachers
show and other disciplinary measure.
For parent . RA(2016) punctuality is
one of the virtues beyond reproach. This
study will determine the factors affecting
in their daily routine during school days.
There are observed instances that during
their transfer of room in their
specialization subjects and other
activities they are behind schedule in
attending to it. Moreover, there are
students who fairly rated their teacher
that might affect their performance at
school.

Being always present in class and
getting school on time are two of the
crucial determing factors of a students
success, not just as a student but as a
person who will be managing his/her own
life in the future. Given the important of
being punctua, this study aims to explore
and find out the factors that affect the
punctuality of ESSDS student.In this
chapter,we will be discussing abaout the
background of out study.Its effect ti the
students as student and as bearer of
their own lives in theFuture.
From reliable research materials like online
journals and research papers,we will provide
some facts and theories from authors,teachers
and no table people on order to have a concrete
justification of our study. First,we will give a
definition of tardines and present some theories
and facts abaout it . Next,we will discuss he
various factors that causes the students to
come to school late, the psychological
theories,the observation of the teachers and the
personal person of the students.
Lastly,the effects of tardines to
students,not just to himself/herself but also to
his/her future and to other people ,will be
dicussed. As ESSDS students, we are expected
to perform well with excellence in everything
that we do , most especially in the academic
aspect.One factor that dictates the quality of the
performance of a student is his/her punctuality
that is , getting to school on time or being
tardy.As cited by nakpoclia and
dafiaghor(2011)"lateness"can be defined as the
"situation where an individual arrives after the
proper,scgeduled or usual time(Oxford advance
leaner's Dictionary,5th ed-,1995),Lauby(2009)
put it as a term used to describe"people
not showing up on time" and Breeze et
al.(2010) contributed by saying that,lateness is
synonymons with"tardiness" which implies
being slow to act or slow to respond,thus not
meeting up with the proper or usual timing.
Lastly,weade (2004) defined tardiness as "being
late for any measurable length of time past the
stated tardy when he/she is not present when
the school bell rings or when the first teacher
starts to give instructional materials for the first
subject in morning class.

Review relative literature Late coming to
school has become or major problem in many
school, particulaly township school with serious
consequences. Current research has
demonstrated that many school in rosario are
performing badly due to inefficient use of the
teaching ang learning time . In this article,we
ougue that while major administrative
interientions are untake to improve the quality of
learning and teaching , it seems that very little
attention is paid to late coming.
Late coming has become a cancer that
saps away big interventions and stays the
performance at selected tour ship schools in a
different direction. The purpose oof their
research is to investigate the cause of late
coming among high school students in selected
secondary school of ESSDS. A qualitative
approach was used to draw data from high
school students.
