A term denoting membership of a

citizen in a political society, which
membership implies a duty of
allegiance on the part member and
duty of protection on the part of the
State.
WHO IS A CITIZEN?

A person having the title of citizenship

A member of a democratic community
Enjoys full civil and political rights and its
accorded protection inside and outside the
territory of the state.

 Article IV, Section 1 of the 1987 Constitution

1. Those
who are citizens of the Philippines at the time of
the adoption of and constitution;
2. Thosewhose fathers or mothers are citizens of the
Philippines, those born before January 17, 1973, of Filipino
mothers, who elect Philippine Citizenship upon reaching
the age of majority, and
3. Those who are naturalized in accordance with law

1. FAITH IN THE ALMIGHTY
- Every individual wants to have God’s presence to his/her life
and wants to have a relationship of trust in Him thus, he/she
wants to ask for God’s help beyond what he/she can do.
Mark 11:22-23
Jesus said to them, “Have faith in God. Whoever says to the
mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown to the sea,’ and does not
doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it
shall be done for him.”
2. RESPECT FOR LIFE
- Every living creature should be preserved,
nurtured, and safeguarded. Everyone has
the right to live.
3. ORDER
- There should be an organized, systematic, and
predictable state of man.
4. WORK
- Every normal-thinking individual wants to have a decent
work/job to support his/her needs.
“If a man will not work, he shall not eat.”
2 Thessalonian 3:10
5. Concern for the Family and Future
Generation
- A comprehensive understanding on
sustainability doesn’t only give emphasis on the
present generation but also for the future
generation.

1. LOVE
- Everybody desires to love and to be loved. As
they always say, “love begets love, love conquers
all, etc..
- “Love is patient…. It never fails, it is eternal….
There are faith, hope, and love and the greatest
of these is LOVE. ( 1 CORINTHIANS 13)
2. PEACE
- Everybody wants to live in a serene, secured, God-
fearing and harmonious community.
3. TRUTH
- Everything we say should be factual, precise, and
accurate.
- “The truth can be hidden for a time but it cannot be
overcome.” – ST. Augustine
4. JUSTICE
- Everybody should be given what is due him/her as a
human being.
- “You Lord, are just in all your ways, faithful in all your
works.” Psalm 145:17
- “Treat others the way you want to have them treat you.”

2. EQUALITY – Freedom from servitude.

his/her country to be globally respected and honoured.

5. PROMOTION OF THE COMON GOOD – Our values dictates us to aim for good,
do well, and promote the common good.

1. CONCERN FOR THE ENVIRONMENT

- Everbody is a steward of the environment thus, each of us
has specific roles in protecting and/or preserving it.
